A well organised hotel with helpful staff, ideally situated between Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. Buffet breakfast in the pleasant dining room which was busy, but everywhere in Venice is!

We found this hotel after reading the reviews and were pleased to have booked it for our four day stay in venice. The hotel is centrally located between Rialto and St Marks square. We used the alilaguna transport from airport to hotel, which was fine. We got off at Rialto bridge and asked directions to hotel.
Our room was a good size and had a canal view. It was clean and housekeeping came in the evenings too to change towels and tidy up. The room had all the amenities needed and decor is modern.
Service was good. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Meals and bar were expensive. Breakfast was ok.
Found wi-fi connection a problem in the lounge (where it was free) and ended up paying for it in our room.
I would recommend this hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from 31 July to 4 August. Unfortunately, it took us half an hour to find the hotel when it is in fact only a 5 minute walk away from where we got off the boat...

We eventually made our way to the check-in desk after a 10 minute wait in the lobby and we were shown up to our room by a friendly bellboy. We were surprised at how small our room was given that it was down as being a "superior double" on our confirmation sheet, however we were far too lethargic to query this with the concierge and accepted what we were given.

The room was extremely clean. The bed was more like a king size and was very comfortable. We didn't have any sort of view from the room; we just overlooked the restaurant area. The room and the hotel in general smelt really nice! The air conditioning in the room was a godsend and worked well. There were face, hand and bath towels provided which were of a lovely quality. The hairdryer worked superbly on my very long hair! One thing to note that I was disappointed about - there was no iron in the room so take a travel iron. I wish I had have known this beforehand. I don’t know whether the deluxe rooms get an iron and perhaps it is worth asking the hotel before you travel. The breakfast was lovely. A sufficient selection of fresh fruit, croissants, scrambled egg and bacon was on offer with some fruit juices. We didn’t eat at the restaurant of an evening so I am unable to comment on that, however the restaurant did always look busy.

All-in-all we had a lovely time in Venice and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others for its location (once you've found it!) and its cleanliness.

TIPS: We got a water taxi from Marco Polo Airport for 15 euros each. The journey took around 1 hour and we took the orange line to the Rialto stop. If you intend on getting a shared water taxi, pack light, as it is difficult to get on and off the boat with a very heavy suitcase. Better yet, if you can afford a private water taxi for around 110 euros (per boat) one way, you may wish to opt for that as it will drop you off directly outside the hotel. Even though the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Rialto, unfortunately it took us 30 minutes to find. Our hotel confirmation sheet showed the hotel address as "Sestiere Di San Marco 760" so, naturally, we spent half an hour whilst on the boat looking for "Sestiere Di San Marco" on our detailed map. However you will not find this as a road name on the map! After asking the 5th local we managed to find it. If you take the same route as us and get off at the Rialto stop, walk left towards the Rialto bridge. Once you are at the bridge, you will find a street on the right with a yellow sign saying “San Marco”. Follow these signs and you will eventually find the hotel along the way. If you have a detailed map like we did, it will be easier with these directions… Find the Rialto bridge, go down C. Larga Mazzini, continue straight onto Mazaria San and then you will see a road called Salvador. You will see a Timberland shop on your right and the hotel is directly opposite that. It really is that simple once you know where you are going.

Pulled up to this hotel by water taxi and was impressed from the start. Unfortunately the only negative to this hotel was our first interaction with any staff - check in. Very very long process as they had our booking down wrong it took even longer. Staff not very helpful, or overly polite, even when we gave them several different confirmations from our travel agent. It looked at one point that they weren't going to do anything to resolve the issue - luckily this was not the case. All the other staff were great and very friendly, especially the bell boy who kept our little boy entertained during the check in saga.
Rooms were very nice although not huge by any means. The furnishings and decoration in the rooms was lovely, nice to see not just another generic hotel room.
Breakfast was good and although we didn't eat there the restaurant of an evening looked beautiful. Location was good as well just a nice walk into st marks square. Would definitely consider staying here again if in Venice.
