Arrived on a BA late evening flight from Gatwick after midnight by water taxi. We were greeted by the concierge who took our luggage, check in was excellent too. 2 Lindt chocolates were waiting for us in the room. This set the standard for the rest of the service, which was superb. Room was luxurious and quiet, breakfast was excellent and varied. Hotel is ideally positioned close to Piazza San Marco and Grand Canal, also close to main shopping area. After a day on the busy canals and alleyways you step into an oasis of calm and excellent service. We will return in a couple of years and my wife has kindly advised me not to book a different hotel. Excellent

As others have said the Hotel is in the perfect location, right on the Grand Canel and within throwing distance to St Marks Square. It has its own drop of point if you come in by boat which we did, it was fantastic and started the trip off with a bang, we used Motoscafi who were brilliant, we booked the return to the airport and you get a discount

The Hotel overhaul is great and all the staff we met were polite and helpful, there is no tea or coffee making facilities in your room nor a iron which is disappointing, you cannot even hire either

Rooms are beautifully decorated if not a little small, if you can get one with a view over the Grand Cannel I would, but saying that don’t let that put you off this beautiful hotel

Breakfast is ok but not worth the €25 euro each in my opinion, we didn’t eat at night in the hotel so cannot comment

The Bar, you understand that when in Venice you pay more however €21 Euro for a G & T and €12 Euro for a Bottle of beer was a little steep but don’t expect much less anywhere

All in all we had a great time and loved beautiful Venice

Enjoy getting lost it’s great fun.

This is the place if you want to be in the very center of Venice.
In the back of Piazza San Marco, the location is indeed great, also because the street is not as crowded as the immediate surroundings.
Rooms are decently large (it could be better but you are in Venice..), staff is professional and friendly
Breakfast is good, there could be more choice but indeed the quality is high.
A bit overprice considering what you get, but again this is a general issue in Venice.
At the end, a very good solution

Stayed here for four nights.
Caught the Alilaguna boat from the airport. Got off at San Marco and the hotel was about a two minute stroll.
Ideally located on the edge of the Grand Canal. There is a Gondola station right outside the hotel.
The room was clean and neat with en-suite bathroom.
The staff were extremely friendly.
The breakfast was buffet style and was of a good standard.
Nothing to fault about this hotel really. Would stay again.

The hotel itself is a fabulous building with comfy rooms. We decided to not pay the extra 100euros a night for a canal view. As with Venice everything at the hotel was very expensive I.e a club sandwich was 26euros, tea 8euros, so we ate out. Breakfast was included in our booking but we would not have paid extra for it as it was not the best service with food being cold or running out of food at 9am..and taking a long time to refil anything. A few things wrong with the room, lights not working, tv not working..but the tv was sorted out.
Beware of the hidden extras like the 3euros cover charge for anything plus service charge included and a city tax of 10euros per night. As the hotel is on an island they do provide a courtesy boat that is 7.50euros per person per stay which was reasonable although long queues of 40minutes from 10am to midday as the boat only took 39 passengers and they were 40 mins apart. Overall it was a lovely hotel and as it was Venice we were expecting high prices so looked for less expensive places to eat in Venice
