We returned 2 weeks ago from a wonderful weekend at Bed & Breakfast You and Me. We booked all 3 rooms and it was like having our own private apartment in the centre of Venice.

I can only echo all of the previous reviews to say that this B&B is very clean, the rooms are beautifully decorated and Stephania is absolutely delightful and charming. She always responded quickly to all of my e-mails and even let me know that there was a problem with public transport due to a strike on the Friday of our arrival. Also, I asked Stephania if there was somewhere that we could store our cases on the last day as we had a late flight home. She very kindly let us keep one of the rooms all day to store our bags in.

The only slight problems with the weekend were the strike and also a visit from the Pope which meant that Venice was incredibly busy and the water bus schedule was affected sporadically.

However, this didn’t spoil our visit as the weather was fantastic and the B&B top notch.

We highly recommend this place! A small, easy to be missed door in the middle of the hussle of Venice leads you to quiet, clean and very comfortable rooms. The place has been totally renovated, i.e. everything is new. You can help yourself to snacks and beverages all day (there is a coffee machine at your disposal). The owner, Stephania, can give you tips on the do's and don'ts in Venice and her recommendations on restaurants proved to be fantastic.

The owner, stefania is very nice and friendly. We booked two rooms and both are clean and well equipped. They are cosy and we feel like staying at home. There is a little dining room with kitchen that you can have breakfast there.

We stayed here a few weeks ago during our short weekend in Venice. Stefania was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, cozy and private, perfect for relaxing after all the walking and sightseeing we did in Venice. The breakfast was basic and more than what we needed. The only drawback to our experience was the bit of noise that woke us up outside/upstairs during the night. Considering it was weekend, we didn't make too big of a fuss about it. Over all, this B&B was excellent value for money.

Venice itself is a great city to visit at this time of year- the weather is mild and pleasant and it isn't unbearably crowded.

I selected this B&B after finding it on Trip Advisor. Stefania (the owner) immediately responded to my e-mails, in excellent English. She was very helpful and answered all my questions so we decided to book. I managed to get from Piazzale Roma to the Ponte della Madonetta without a problem or map. On arrival i consulted the instructions and after working out the door numbers, quickly found the door, next to a shop and gelateria. We stayed in Mimi on the top floor - the room was ready and spotless - a nice touch were the Mon Cherie on the pillows. The room is reasonably large and well laid out - I could not fault it. All towels are provided and there i also a hair-drier. The room has a TV showing all the Italian freeview channels (about 50). The room was kept warm and it also had air conditioning for those summer nights. I saw the other rooms and they were all to the same very high standard and equally nice. The beds were also of very good quality and guaranteed a good nights sleep. The kitchen / breakfast room on the floor below is set out with a small kitchen area, with a fully stocked fridge (fruit juices, milk, water, butter, yoghurt), freezer, cooker hob, dishwasher, sink and all crockery and utensils. The breakfast area is fully stocked with cereals, Italian breakfast cakes, tarts, fruit, yoghurt, toasts, jam honey and nutella. For those from the UK there is a cordless kettle, for the French an filter coffee machine, and the Italians, a moka pot, together with a selection of teas and coffee ground specifically for each machine. You can take breakfast whenever you want and serve yourself - Stefania said to treat it like your home. If you wanted anything else there is an excellent patisserie a few metres from the B&B and a small co-op supermarket about 1 minute's walk away.

She gave us an excellent map of Venice and gave us lots of hints of where to go, what to see and where to eat and drink.

The room was cleaned daily, so when we returned in the afternoon, it was as spotless and tidy as when we arrived - absolutely 5-star service (full credit to Noah - thank you). The kitchen was equally kept clean everyday.

If this isn't enough, Stefania has even provided umbrellas to borrow and shoe shining cloths / pads to keep your shoes pristine. This was truly a wonderful place to stay, made even better by the wonderfully helpful and friendly host and her equally friendly and efficient housekeeper. The location is perfect - central to everything.

I really look forward to returning and can recommend this B&B without hesitation.

Room Tip: Central location, very friendly and helpful host
