“Fabulous B&B !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012

My partner and I stayed here for my birthday from June 18th for 3 nights. We stayed at the Nest, which was a welcome cool room during the heatwave. The room was large, with a super big cupboard. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast on the balcony of the common room was elegantly presented and the morning greeting by Pilla (the owner's dog) was always overwelming. Andrea is a superb host and knows all the ins and outs of Venice. As mentioned already here before, every morning he would go through our daily plans and make lots of recommandations for great food and must see things. In short the perfect B&B and the perfect host. We will recommand you to anybody who asks. Thanks for a wonderful birthday vacation.

My wife and I stayed at Zen for three nights before and after a cruise. We researched hotels alot before our arrival and chose Zen as it seemed to have an "identity" while not costing us 500 dollars a night. We stayed in the Gingko,a great sized room, that has everything you need, including free wifi and good air conditioning.

Our hosts Susanna and Andrea were so helpful and forthcoming with food and visit recommendations we almost felt we were staying with "friends of friends". They did not steer us wrong the whole time we were there.

Location is 3 mins by Vaporetto from Rialto Bridge and about another 20 from St Mark's but a world removed from the tourist craziness and is in the charming Santa Croce neighborhood that has locals in the piazzas not just souvenir vendors and map toting tourists.

Breakfast was delicious everyday and they know how to make great coffee.

In short the welcome was warm, the room was very comfortable, the location super convenient and they had good rates!
We don't have one single negative thing to say about our experience.

We loved Venice (even in the heat of July) and when we return one day, we hope to return to Camp. Zen.

This was our first trip to Venice and first time staying in a B & B and what a B & B it is OUTSTANDING. We spent four nights at Campiello Zen in May 2012 and it was fantastic could not fault one thing. From the moment we entered the large wooden doors into the beautiful B & B it felt like we were with friends we had know for ever. We stayed in the Ginko room (twin beds) so spacious, modern and comfortable the bathroom was large, airy and light. Susanna was so welcoming and couldn't have been more friendly she would sit with us each morning marking our Venice map and helping us plan each daily adventure. Her suggestions for restaurants were outstanding La Zucca to die for and the best advice she gave us was just to get lost in Venice which we did and around every corner was a new adventure and we happened upon so many interesting places. Our holiday was all the better because of her nothing was too much trouble. Campiello Zen is very central only 50m to the Riva di Biasio vaporetto stop and in walking distance from the train station or two Vaporetto stops. Thank you so much Susanna for your kindness and hospitality and a big THANKYOU for saving my luggage from going home with the wrong people.

Room Tip: Ginko room twin beds very spacious and comfortable ideal for two.

We spent an amazing two nights at Campiello Zen. Everything was perfect - the room, the location, the service, breakfast. It is everything that a bed & breakfast should be and is perfect for a romantic getaway. The neighborhood is away from all of the crowds yet is so convenient (only a 2 minute walk to the vaporetta stop). We would have gladly stayed longer and will definitely be back.

Special thanks to Valentina for her warm welcome and easy smile and Susanna who spent a ton of time sitting with us and helping us come up with our plan for our stay.

Campiello Zen is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The hospitality of Andrea was outstanding. He really made us feel like this was our home in Venice. Each morning we were greeted by a wonderful breakfast of fresh sliced fruits, cold cuts and cheese's, fresh croisants and buns, cereals, yogurt, and the best of all was his cappuccino. We spent one evening with friends on the common area balcony sipping wine. Our room the "Suite" was an extra large room with a large bathroom that had both a seperate shower and large deep tub.We really enjoyed Andrea's restaurant recommendations, especially Zucca. The only bad part of our stay was saying arrivederci to Andrea and his dog Pilla and Campiello Zen. The building is a lovely 500 year old venetian structure that retains its original feel but is modern at the same time. Zen is about a three minute walk from the Riva di Biasio vaporetto stop. Grazie Andrea and we really miss Pilla.
