Delicious food, price is cheap for the service you get. Roast beef was amazing. The salads are huge.

Wife and I came here for the 3rd time......last time was about 18 months ago, not long after Itaca opened.
Menu has changed a little but the pizzas remain divine. The owner, Luigi, is still a firm favourite and such a character!
If in Padua, make sure you come here. It's an open kitchen and the chef really does know how to make great food. Thanks to Luigi, the service is great too!
We love the beautiful city of Padua which has a very good standard of eateries - this still remains one of the best!
We ate at Itaca three times while we were in Padua last week and enjoyed each time equally. The gorgonzola lasagna was the best pasta I have ever had. Luigi is a great host and the experience is obviously one we keep going back for, and we seldom eat at the same restaurant twice. Also the price is quite reasonable. Incredibly clean. Desserts are from all over Italy, which Luigi points out, and the choice is difficult because all are great.
In order to visit the Cappella you have to collect your tickets an hour before your entry time and with tickets booked for 2 pm we were looking for a quick light bite.
The Museum cafe did not appeal but quite by chance we discovered ITACA just a stone's throw away.
We explained that we had limited time and were promptly served with carpaccio of smoked salmon, smoked tuna and smoked sword fish on a bed of raw spinach. Delicious and just what we needed. Shortly after our arrival the place began to fill up with locals who were obviously regulars of this restaurant ....and with good reason,
Stopped in on a cold evening for just a caffè Americano, which was yummy. A friend had a green tea nicely served in a cafetière. Friendly guy serving, would recommend.
