Cosy apartment in great location
Appartamento Verde was a terrific find. The apartment itself was compact but well appointed, very cosy and comfortable. It is located in the heart of Padova very close to the Piazza Delle Erbe, location of a terrific market where great produce is available 6 days a week. It is also close to several supermarkets for other groceries. It is located in the centre of Padova allowing easy access to the sights and activities of the town, including many bars and restaurants. The owner/managers Isabella nd Sarah are very helpful and welcoming. Stayed there for a month and would happily have stayed much longer.

Superb location if you are visiting Padua as a tourist
We spent 6 nights in this apartment. From it, it takes a few minutes to walk to the Palazzo della Ragione in the old part of Padua. And if you like walking, which we do, you can walk to all the sights in the old town including the Scrovegni Chapel, the University, St. Anthony's Basilica, the Duomo, the Botanical Garden, the Prato della Valle and other places you might like to visit. There are also 3 piazzas within minutes of the apartment that have daily markets, two with mostly clothes and the like and one with mostly food. There are also some supermarkets nearby so shopping for food is easy. The apartment was very clean and fully furnished. The kitchen, dining area, and living area are all one room - comfortable and nicely furnished. There are two bedrooms and a wonderful bathroom with a small but nice shower and a washing machine. Air conditioning was available which was nice for us as it was very hot when we visited. And understand there is heat in the winter months. The owners are very nice and easy to contact if there is a problem. They also greeted us at the apartment to show us around and explain how things work. Only small complaint is the window in the kitchen/dining/living area is above a place where some residents park their cars and if you want to leave the window open it can be noisy at times. But that pales in comparison to the location of the apartment, its cleanliness, and its furnishings.

Pretty flat, brilliantly located
The flat had two bedrooms and could have accommodated a family of three or two friends who preferred their own rooms. Although the building was probably 18th or 19th Century, the apartment had been laid out recently. A clever curved wall set with six glass bricks, three each in green, blue and yellow, and an etched glass panel above the king-size bed in one bedroom allowed light into the other, which was windowless and contained a desk and a single bed set into a wall unit with the apartment’s only clothes cupboards. The master bedroom had a coat rack and a set of open shelves but no closet, armoire or dresser. However, two little bedside tables held lamps bright enough to read by. For a couple like us, the arrangement was comfortable. We used the second bedroom for clothes and luggage Apart from the bathroom, which contained a handy washing machine, the flat’s only other room served as kitchen, dining and living room. The table could have seated six, so it worked fine for both our laptop and for eating. The couch was a loveseat. A tall French window looked out on a small courtyard used for parking. The best features were a fully-equipped kitchen – even an oven! – and the original art and good prints decorating the walls. A bookcase to one side held pamphlets in Italian, English, French and German covering all the city’s cultural and tourist attractions. Our hosts Sara and Isabella had produced two helpful booklets, one with essential practical information (food shopping, emergency numbers, nearby restaurants), the other with a breezy and entertaining overview of the attractions they considered unmissable. For seeing Padova, the location couldn’t have been better. The fresh fruit and vegetable market was less than two short blocks away, in front of the Palazzo della Ragione, where it had been for 800 years. Shops selling meat, cheese, fish, bread and fresh pasta lined three arcades on the ground floor of the palazzo. On the other side, the Piazza di Frutti, which had a few produce and flower stalls, mainly offered cheap clothing but also had little bars and outdoor cafes, popular for wine spritzes. A few blocks further was a full-size Pam supermarket, easily walkable. The main cathedrals, churches and museums lay within two kilometers. And the neighborhood radiated the vibrant sense of a Medieval and Renaissance city whose downtown still functions as its city center. The tab, about $100 US a night, was more than we would have liked to pay ideally; but the location made it worth the price, especially given that the fresh market, and some shops selling regional specialties to go, saved us restaurant tabs.

Excellent location in Padua
This apartment is in a very central location, next to the major piazzas in town and close to the university. While small, it is exceptionally clean and nicely furnished. Since it is in the pedestrian area it is quiet at night. The owner is easy to deal with and answered all emails promptly. I would stay here again if I return to Padua.

Centrally located and close to many attractions
A very comfortable place to stay with a pleasant kitchen diner fully equipped. Close to a supermarket where fresh food was always available. An easy stroll to all the main attractions although my favourite spot was the nearby café where I could just sit and enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful buildings, the markets and the people walking by. All the booking arrangements worked well.

Lovely flat
I remember trying to post a review after we returned home, but somehow I failed and thought - ok,so nobody will be able to find this gem -, but it does seem unfair towards the owners, who, though difficult to reach, made our stay so memorable that I can't wait to go back. The place was absolutely lovely, so what more can I say? Apart from pointing out that the flat is awesome and close to the market.

Hidden Gem in Padova
This property exceeded our expectations on all levels. Sara met us at the apartment and was extremely helpful in showing us the apartment essentials and helping us plan our time in Padova. The residence itself is extremely clean, comfortable and central to everything the city has to offer, We were pleased to find the apartment was so quiet even though it is located on a busy, central street. It is within walking distance to the train station. The owners and location make this apartment a wonderful choice to explore the region.
