This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in a long time - and I travel a lot! Very affordable prices. Very helpful staff and cosy atmosphere. Small rooms that do not feel small and a location in a quiet side street only about two hundred metres away from the lively and beautiful Prato de la Valle. Free Internet access and very reasonable prices at the bar. Highly recomended!

Room Tip: Ask for a double room even if you travel alone.

We stopped in this hotel for 4 days in March 2012. The room was small but adequate with a nice view from the balcony. The ensuite was particularly small and we were not so keen on the shower but generally the hotel was in good order, clean, well located for shopping and eating out. It was very close to a beautiful park area and the market. The staff on reception were helpful. The main reason we booked this hotel was the price and we were not disappointed with our decision!

The hotel is nice, very well located, clean and smartly managed. It offers nice services such as bike free rental, good breafast (not included but affordable), and wifi 9though apparently not in all the rooms). The staff is super-friendly and makes your stay more pleasant.
Let's come to the bad news: the single room I was given looked like a police holding cell. It must have been 4 square metres. No closet, train cart-sized table, no place to put your luggage (luckily I had a small trolley). You just want to get out of there as soon as you can. Having said that, the bed was very comfy (and my back is picky). Room had A/C and a TV set too.
Bathroom: the shower had no curtain or shield, it's basically no more than a hose hanging over your head so basically you're showering in a 1 square metre room, witn water spraying all over the place.
Ok, I cannot fault it too much because the 42-euro rate is pretty good. So value for money-wise it's still a good deal. But if you plan on spending more than 5 minutes a day in your room, get a double one.

Room Tip: avoid single rooms

I had to keep remembering that this was a 3* hotel - our stay was great, although checking out had something to be desired (hence 3 stars).

Location is *perfect*, we looked at a lot of hotels and we're so glad we chose this one, it's in an amazing location.

Clean, modern and the staff are very helpful. Rooms have good facilities and great aircon but they're a little small - so we opted for the suite, I really *really* recommend that you do too, since the standard rooms are really small.

Prices in the hotel are decent too, with breakfast costing 5 euro, and minibar items such as a bottle of water costing 1.50 Euro (you'll pay 1 euro to 2 euro in and around Padua).

Breakfast is good too - always a good supply of food, regularly replenished by the staff. It's a standard continental breakfast with decent quality food (for example, the pastries were always fresh and soft, not dry/crusty). Also you can boil eggs too, which is a nice touch.

So, we had two suites booked but one wasn't available as there was a 'problem' that needed to be fixed. Had to wait around for a few hours while we found out if the issue was fixed, or if we had to stay in a standard room. Ended up in standard double after being promised he's work out a very special rate for us for that night.

When we checked out, he simply charged us the standard (board rate) for a double room for the first night (70euro) - not even the price that we could have got it on laterooms or booking.com! (55euro). He had to be persuaded to throw in 2 breakfasts for free (so 20euro).
This worked out that we paid 50euro for a standard double (ok), but it's still not great compensation for not having the suite we expected.

Eager to promise when things are going wrong, not so quick to followup on those promises.

Room Tip: Go for a suite if you want a good sized room.

I was also in a conference group. This hotel is well-run, clean, and within walking distance of everything you'd want to do in this beautiful city. Furthermore, it is on a quiet side street, with aromatic blooming trees. The staff were all very helpful, and fluent in English. They have bicycles you can use for free (100 Euro deposit with credit card), which is fun for cruising around. It's a great city for that, since it is not crowded with tourists. I had a single room, which was small but just right. The bathroom was fine, and everything was new-ish and clean. Wake-up call was on time. The breakfast was good and substantial. Everything was just like the pictures on the website.
