Having trawled through Airbnb and local hotels in Padua, I discovered this little gem right next to the city walls and close to the centre.
Situated in a decent area with good local restaurants, we stayed here for three nights and found it very comfortable, modern and well designed, fresh, clean and well appointed. This is in essence a bed-and-breakfast and I will be using b&b's more often than hotels and Airbnb's in Padua as generally what is on offer is not great. At Villa Rosa the price is fair and the experience is good.
It would've been nice to have a television, however I feel this is something the owners have chosen not to have for a reason. It would've been nice to relax for an hour or so before bed, but when put in a situation, you always make the best of it and find some other way to unwind. Like writing the review :-)
The Villa Rosa is just outside the city walls in a quiet backstreet. Easy walking to the tram line or the Prato. The owners live upstairs and take great care to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are three rooms, a single, a double and a triple (all with bathrooms) so you can take your pick. The kitchen is user friendly and the place has wifi.
