Good conditions, clean and comfortable room with good dimensions and with a good view, and the river running outside next to the bedrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a good breakfast. Relation quality / price, very satisfactory.

Hotel is located across the river, rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast is very good. Hotel is within walking distance to the center. Parking close to the hotel is limited. Staff is very helpful. WiFi is only available in the Lobby.

This is a old fashioned hotel which suited our group of hikers. It is on the located where you cross the river in Courmayeur so is easily found.
It has the feel of a family hotel and was quiet in summer. It is a big step up from most of the accommodation/ refuges on the TMB and is suprisingly cheaper (€160 for 4 including breakfast in 3 rooms of a suite.) than many of the refuges. Despite not being in the guidebook we met quite a few hikers there.

The decor is old fashioned charming but its fine.

The pool and jacuzzi were not working and I think they are geared towards Winter- check ahead before booking if it is important to you.

The rooms were large and clean, beds firm, showers were good and the white noise of the river outside meant we all had a sound nights sleep.

Breakfast was fine good coffee and museli etc with options for omlettes ( €5 extra). We should have stayed for dinner as suprisingly the food options in Courmayeur were not great.

Wifi was available in reception.

But, it must be the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. The decor is tired, the rooms a bit like a youth hostel, the food is fine. However, for value, you can't beat it! I give it 4 stars as to be honest, all the other benefits make up for the basic nature of the place. If it means an extra cheeky ski weekend, this is the place to come. I'd go back. Happily.

Room Tip: Don't expect too much!

Amazing location for skiing. Very close to Dolonne lift. Very helpful staff (booked pre st didier spa and organised taxi for us, provided paper and pens for games, stuck with us whilst we resolved bar bill!). Breakfast is quite basic cold selection with dishwater tea but lovely coffee, extra charge for eggs, hot choc etc). Some beds were really quite uncomfortable (hard). Bar is great. Free wifi is best in bar/reception.
Half board was terrific value, starters of pasta/soup/risotto were amazing but main courses sometimes odd for uk palate, polenta features big and my turkey was in fact pork and veal was beef etc but still we ate it with gusto so couldn't have been too bad! Puddings got recycled a bit eg vanilla pudding one day became creme caramel (different sauce) the next.
The spa is nice to have but 15 euros for an hour seemed a lot and steam room was cold and some wood was rotten around jacuzzi/hot pool. Was fun still with a group. If I sound at all negative I'm not, just pointing out all sides and very very pleased overall.
