It can be hard to check reviews of this place as there are many privately owned apartments in this block or the similar one next door.It seems the apartments can be very different but this one was lovely. Very clean, and traditionally decorated. Very well equipped with crockery etc. There is even a sauna in the bathroom that just about fits 3 people sitting. There are balconies on each room with fantastic views of the mountains and red 16 run. The block itself is not the most logically laid out, lifts are small and the ski lockers are small and not near the exit. It is workable though, and the building is clean. There is also a good restaurant in the block, which was a surprise and a big plus. Downsides are that whilst the apartment is genuinely ski in on a lovely red, it is not really ski out. The red continues past but for some reason doesn't link to the lift, so you have a bit of a walk in ski boots. The lift from the apartment itself only goes to a black. It is a great fast easy black run but doesn't help with the linking in. The shop in the complex is outrageously expensive. The walk into town is about 15-20 minutes. The flat has 2 double rooms and a sofa bed, so it would be doable but a bit small for more than 2 couples.
I stayed in this apartment for a week in mid April with my partner and four young children. It isn't quite as luxurious as the photos suggest but it is perfectly adequate and the views of the mountains are amazing. The balcony was great for a sunbathe for an hour in the evening before the sun went behind the mountains. The apartment has everything you would need and we found that there was plenty of space for us all although it would be a bit tight for six adults. Technically it is ski in and out although you do have to walk with your skis uphill for a short section to get to the gondola on the way out. There is a chair lift right outside but it only takes you to black runs. Cervenia itself is great but it is a good fifteen minute walk into town and a steep walk back if you are brave enough - we took the car! The shop downstairs is handy but quite expensive compared to the supermarket in town.
Lovely apartment, very kind hosts who met us on arrival and took us on a guided tour of the building to show us the ski locker and way out on to the piste. The apartment itself was very nice, lovely view from the balcony, clean, nice bathroom, the chromotherapy shower and sauna added a touch of luxury.
Exit right onto the piste, so could ski back to the door at end of day via red run no.7, and in the morning ski down the same run to the village. However that piste ends on the road so there was then a short walk along the road to the main lifts to link into the main resport, so whilst its ski out, you do have to walk uphill on road about 150m afterwards.
