Top italian food at the evening, 4 courses menu included, and the winelist was really impressive, absolutely my strongest recommendations.

a little noicy, due to many kids during week 7, but the food was very good, but the top wines we ordered from Pio Cesare at euro 80-90 were TOO HOT.

After failing to secure dinner at a nearby circus of a restaurant, we were accommodated without a reservation in Snowflake. It was fabulous - Consuela was our very helpful waitress and we ordered the fillet (on her recommendation). After some wonderful amuse bouche, the beef arrived sandwiched between fois gras and a special layered toast, with salad and truffle shavings - immense. We went for dessert and washed it all down with a reasonably priced Barberosa, before complimentary petit fours (about 6 each!) finished the meal. The food is good, menu varied and staff wonderful. Thoroughly recommend.

This hotel is not cheap but almost all rooms have no good mountain views (eg the Plateau Rosa Chalet cannot see Mt Rosa; the Matterhorn Chalet cannot see Matterhorn). Re meals, lack of variety in food, actually there's just one restaurant although it has been divided into sections and named differently ie main restaurant; snowflakes; blah blah blah...Customer service there's especially below standard; unilateraly imposed extra charges w/o your consent/knowledge; people there're extremely rude and lazy; sometimes you can say there's NO service at all eg no one came to Cervinia to pick you up despite repeated chasers until you call police...

I want to be fair to this hotel but staying here is a bit like a not so good Club Med. Evidently lots of return trade but IMHO not really a luxury boutique hotel as styled. The room was so so small and bare! Not even a bottle of water on arrival, no coffee/tea making, no welcome note - nothing!!!! We had a balcony but no furniture on it so you couldn't sit out. And the pillows! Horrid. Oh we did have gowns and towels for the spa so that was something. Evidently according to other guests we met, there are some lovely rooms so possibly we were just unlucky booking late in the season. The prices far from cheap, the food OK and at times excellent (we were half board as there is nothing nearby) but you have to pick your dinner at breakfast from a limited menu and at that time I have no idea what I am going to want to eat. We were not able to book a parking space despite their garage appearing empty which we thought very odd. We parked in the public car park down the hill which displeased my husband. Also if you cannot ski back (and my skiing is not good) they made me walk to the church to be picked up (hate walking in ski boots). That was a complete no no for me. We had an exceptionally good week weather wise so were able to sit out when we came back from skiing but mostly the whole terrace was taken up with young ski guides drinking and talking loudly. Not very relaxing. Spa OK but steam room way over hot.
