We had a great lunch here. The food is very good, and absolutely worth going for. The service is good, but not at the same standard as the food, but luckily Andrea himself being present in the dining room makes up for it.

I'll start by saying it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Period.

I started with his spinach flan with mushrooms and parmigiana. It was like Beethoven's 5th. Each bite complimented the next.

But the real treat were the star shaped ravioli with potatoes and truffles. Easily one of the best courses in my life. The buttery potatoes and truffles melted in my mouth.

If that wasn't enough, there is an extensive wine menu to meet any palette. I also appreciated the chef coming out and chatting with us on several occasions.

Don't be put off by the outside, which can look dated. The interior as well -- they need to ditch the sun faded posters on the wall. Service was super efficient and friendly.

Also ditch the menus on foam board, which belong more in a pizza shop than this fine establishment. Once they fix this, the Michelin stars will follow.

Some gourmet cooks make fancy dishes with low quality - but this restaurant has traditional dishes with a gourmet twist - top quality!
We tryed so many different dishes and not one of them was average.
All were fantastic and very tasty!

We stumbled on this place & were very pleased we did. The dining room is a lovely calm space that has been kept in the style of the early 20th century. The restaurant staff were all very friendly & helpful & the food was very good, in a light, modern style. We weren't looking for a huge meal so my husband ordered ravioli & I ordered smoked mackerel, which came, amazingly, with a little glass dome filled with smoke over it (the initial flavour was consequently a little too smoky, but that dissipated after a second or two). The side salads, which were over-chopped, tired (possibly even browning slightly, or was that just balsamic?) leaves, let the place down. Otherwise I would have given it 5, as the atmosphere & overall experience was so pleasant. Very surprisingly, the liquid pizza amuse-gueule was delicious. The various sweet things that came with coffee were also really good

Charming probably pre-World War One restaurant in central Meran. The dining room is elegant with art nouveau touches and has well-separated tables, proper white linen table cloths and napkins and nice old cutlery. The large windows were open when we visited leaving the restaurant agreeably cool. The food was excellent, including the complimentary amuse-geueles of delicious 'liquid pizza'. We also really enjoyed the smoked mackerel and ravioli. Friendly efficient service from the multi-lingual wait-staff. Not cheap at €87.50 for two, but a very pleasant experience.
