We decided to venture into the Brera district. Saw this restaurant has great reviews, and that we’ll get a 50% discount for booking online so we did.
We walked from the Piazza del Duomo and this restaurant is the second one down the small F&B street from where we entered the Brera district, steps away from the Pinacoteca di Brera.
It’s a small restaurant with only 5-6 tables indoors, and a few tables outdoors which no one took as it was quite cold the day we went at less than 10 degrees. We were warmly welcomed and the service was quite good. We ordered the zucchini flowers (?) with ricotta cheese, lobster pasta and seafood risotto - all signature dishes as noted on the menu. The food was delicious, especially the first two. Risotto was also nice but it was a bit salty for my taste. We ordered tiramisu for dessert, and a bit disappointed as there seemed to lack some layers of lady fingers so it was mostly mascarpone though the flavor was good.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal at a total of 85 euro. I saw that there was no discount so I asked the waiter who brought the manager as he (actually both) could not speak English too well. We were told that our online booking did not have discounts so we were a bit surprised as it says clearly on the booking page that this was the offer. The manager then swiftly gave us a 20% discount which was a nice gesture, though we still don’t know what happened with the online booking! Anyways, we recommend this restaurant but suggest to pay more attention to online booking details.
