This hotel is in a very good location, facing a lovely little space with trees as well as an impressive arched monument and a large park across the road diagonally. Walking to the Duomo took less than 20 minutes, passing by some nice shops and the easy to use metro is right outside the front door. The staff were both friendly and efficient. The room, whilst being a bit small (but that's standard for European hotels), was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was quite large, with a good shower and nice toiletries. Wi-fi was fast and free. Even though its located on busy corner, the traffic noise at night wasn't a problem. There was a great late night gelateria next door as well as a couple of good restaurants, notably 'Move'.

I have been pleasantly surprised by this hotel, whihc combined charm and nicely renovated rooms. The rooms were quiet and the air conditionning worked efficiently. The service was also excellenet, both at check-in and at the check-out. All the personnel was very helpfull. Despite being on the street, my room was quiet and I did not hear too much of the traffic. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel is clean and nice. Location is good. easy access to downtown, walking and taxi. Metro is right in front of the hotel and tram is also right in front of the hotel.

There is a few nice cafe for coffee and brioche and very good gelateria next door.

Stayed here couple of nights.. the best I liked about this hotel is its location.. less than 10 Euro taxi ride from Milan Centralle train station.. Metro Train is right under the hotel.. Tram station is right across the hotel door..walking distance to Duomo Milan Cathedral (about 1.5KM)..

arrived at hotel around 3pm and they made us wait for 50 minutes to allot a room (though they keep saying 10 minutes!!).. apart from this small irritative wait rest is fine here.. staff are helpful in marking maps (so that we don't get lost!!)..

Rooms are super clean and are in mint condition..

Somehow not very happy with breakfast.. I mean very limited variety of food.. but manageable...

Great location to explore historic area of Milan + all those Italian fashion houses...

We arrived for our one night stay quite early, and as our room was not yet ready - it was 10:30am - they gave us an upgrade to the La Grande room. Already winning! I don't know that the room we had booked was like, but the La Grande was lovely, exceptionally large, especially for a European hotel, and well-appointed. The reception staff were friendly and dealt with any request promptly and efficiently. The location is great, very close to some lovely restaurants and easy walk to the Duomo and Galleria for excellent shopping. The metro is right outside. If I had any complaint, it would be that breakfast was not ready until 7:30 and we needed to leave early... But the cook was Australian! All up, I will definitely return to the Mercure for a longer stay next time I'm in Milan.
