Reviewed 30 July 2016

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2016 with our camper van and side awning. The pitches were spacious and well kept. The staff were extremely helpful with maps and guides, shower facilities and pool were very clean. We had looked at Parisi camping which was at the side of the lake but opted for the more peaceful up the hill at tranquilla. It is a good half an hour walk down to the boat trips and town and we are in our early 40's and relatively fit but the coming back up the hill nearly finished me off. It was a very hot day as well though. We did the 3 island tour of Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola Pescatori, Pescatori should be saved till last as there is not much to do there but still worth a visit. The boat trips were very reasonably priced and the islands were beautiful.

We didnt make a reservation but decided to have a look once we arrived. We couldnt believe our eyes when we made a stroll at the campsite and saw that the swimmingpool was closed between 11 am and 3 pm.
The walk up the hill was not that easy and you have no acces to the lake.

Tucked away on the hill of Baveno you will find this nice little campsite.
We really liked it here. The campspots are shady, we had a tent so this was very nice.
The service is nice, they help you very well, speak good English. Also there is a pool, free hot water, and free Wifi.

Facilities were quite clean, just pick your shower carefully. I had one with a huge rain shower head, and one with a tiny thing.

There is a cafe here with cheap wine/beer. But you can also walk down to Baveno, about 20 minutes this will take you.

For us a very good campsite, it was also very cheap, the cheapest we stayed on i Italy, it was 18euro/night for a tent site.

Lots of Italian children running around making lots of noise until at least 11pm at night. There was no toilet paper in the toilets which is apparently common for the area (you have to take your own). The swimming pool was quite small and you had to buy a swim hat before you could enter the pool. The location was good but not lakefront. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English.

Went camping with a large tent. The camping ground is thoroughly maintained with beautiful and large pitches. This is a family owned camping in a great location close to Isola Bella and the other islands. Definitely a place I would recommend in the Lago Maggiore region.
