My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were very impressed. Our room (486) was furnished to a high standard, clean and airy and the air conditioning was quiet and effective. The bathroom was well laid out with a bath and a shower over the bath, normally I prefer a separate shower but this was effective. As we were on a corner we had two balconies, one had a partial lake view and the other looked up to the mountains across the road. Fortunately the air conditioning worked well as it would probably have been noisy sleeping with the doors open at night. The food was good and the portions certainly generous, it was also nice to be able to have scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages at breakfast if one wanted, I personally was happy with cereals and toast, my normal breakfast at home. We were on half board so the choice was adequate and good enough for us, obviously there was an extensive
menu if you wanted to pay the extra. The grounds to the hotel have been mentioned by others so I need not comment. The staff were at all times helpful and made our stay a delight, nothing was too much for them. I can certainly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have two balconies, so you have two different views, see above.

Right on the lake with a man made beach with sunloungers and a jetty for boat trips. Lovely terrace for classic Italian 'aperitivo' and great dining under the stars as well as stylish air conditioned rooms with beautiful bathrooms to chill out in....some in our party go as far as calling this the best hotel in the world!

Room Tip: Ask for lake view!

This hotel, and its location, was by far my best experience among 6 hotels during my stay in northern Italy. It is classious, calm, with excellent service, and not a big institution like the palaces you find nearby in Stresa. The prices (at least in the period i was there, 150€ per night) were not cheap (it is a palace) but the price/quality ratio was also a good bargain compared with other experience in Italy. There not no bug at all, and I can only recommend it

Stayed one night here with family. Room was very spacious, huge bathroom with both a bath and and an enormous shower. A little bit of noise at night, I think because we were on the first floor immediately above the restaurant.

The grounds are lovely, with lots of terraces and a private pontoon from where you can swim in Lake Maggiore - also a small swimming pool.

We didn't eat in the hotel at all, but walked into Baveno and had a very nice and very well priced meal at Ristorante Posta - fantastic saffron pasta.

Hotel charges €10 per day for parking.

We had B/B, breakfast was very good, rooms roomy and the lighting was very good, unusual for hotels, also very quiet a/c. Its a long time since we stayed in such a nice hotel; we never had dinner there but that looked also vey good. There are 2 excellent restaurants in Baveno, one is called Posta, the other I don't remember but its opposite the place where the boat leaves, it looks touristic but the food is great/ The whole area is very worthwhile visiting! Do notg eat at the 2 lakeside restaurants on the boulevard...

Room Tip: don't stay in the "new" building
