New renovated room, view with private balcony, quiet, good AC and Wifi, few amenities in room but loaded mini bar. Very friendly staff, so helpful with our day trips, parking etc.The pool area was lovely, like swimming in lush Tuscon garden. The pool staff should monitor the sunbeds as there we couples with 5 beds, moving with the sun and saving them with towels when they went for lunch which pissed everyone off. Breakfast was included in our rate, definitely was above the norm. Parking was extra but on site. All in all best value for money to compete with the 4 stars in the neighborhood.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room, lake view, second floor.

For a 3 star hotel it is very good. The room we had was a spacious and modern, comfy bed and the bathroom was a nice size with a decent modern shower. The rest of the hotel was quiet and clean. The pool area was nice while all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a good selection where you can also ask for eggs what way you like them. Good location to get the ferry around the island and Sirmione is a pretty town with lots of good ice cream shops.

Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel on the shores of Lake Garda. In many ways it has been left behind and could do with a complete make over. Little things spring to mind - the drains smell in the ensuite - they attempt to mask this with bleach and air fresheners. The carpet on the stairs and landing looks like it was last changed in the 1970s. The bedroom furniture and decor is tired. On the plus side there is an outside pool and some ability to park your car.
Overall if money was spent - and probably quite a bit it could be a great hotel.

Have just left the hotel after 3 nights during our Italy adventure.
Situated in the heart of Sirmione old village (giving you the chance and experience to drive your car through the narrow streets ).
Rooms and dining room refurbished, hallways, bathrooms and exterior could do with catching up too.
That said our stay was excellent, quiet pool at the rear, perfect if arriving by car to Sirmione.

Located the far side of Sirmione town Hotel Desiree is in a quiet location with upper rooms having nice lake views. Easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, ferries and to Jamaica Beach to swim in the lake.

The hotel itself is a little tired, but adequate. (Take your own hairdryer if you need one!).

The pool is lovely - just what we needed as it was so hot when we were there.

Breakfast is basic - cold, continental buffet. We were a bit disappointed that they were not willing to prepare us a picnic breakfast of any kind when we were leaving half an hour before breakfast started on our last day - we had paid for it as part of our room rate. They did manage a cup of coffee while we were waiting for our taxi though!
