There is no doubt that La Rucola 2.0 is a restaurant that contributes abundantly to the inimitable charm of Sirmione. There are several rooms, with large dining areas, which allow a good spacing between tables, and, consequently, greater privacy for diners.
Our dinner consisted of the "Il Mare" menu, which pleased us a lot. In fact, all the dishes have met our best expectations, both in the quality presented and in the generosity of the servings, all of that at very reasonable prices.
Only the sweets fell short of expectations. I remember especially a mint cream, which might not have been cloying if it were cooler and not at room temperature. Neither did the mignardises, served before the aforementioned main dessert, left us good memories. If it were not for the bad impression left by the desserts, this place would obviously get a top rating for the food.
The service proved to be competent and friendly, the performance of the sommelier being worthy of special praise.
Despite the shortcomings described above, La Rucola 2.0 is a restaurant that I highly recommend to those who want to have lunch or dinner in the wonderful medieval town of Sirmione.
