The arrival was very traumatic. The telephone number we were given was missing a digit, so we couldn't contact the owner (Tanya, who turned out to be called Emily), so when we arrived at No. 30, (a massive building, containing 50 or more flats) we couldn't gain access. Someone let us in to a large courtyard, where we asked several tenants if they knew Tanya. Luckily, after about 20 mins. some one was able to contact Emily, who was cleaning the flat and eventually came down to meet us. She took us across the courtyard, through a locked iron gate, to a lift, up 3 stories, to a door to the flat, which had a lock requiring the key to be turned 2 or 3 times one way then back and the handle forced down to open the door. This led to us being locked in the flat later that evening , when we had to phone Emily to find out how to unlock the door. However, the flat was very spacious, clean and the large bed very comfortable. The balconies were almost non existent, as they were only about 10" wide. Lots of restaurants and bars near. A pleasant 5 min. stroll to the lake. I would suggest that the owner adds a micro-wave and electric kettle . Once we got used to the 3 keys we needed, it turned out to be a very enjoyable holiday.
Lovely apartment situated in the Historic area of Como, central to a wide range of restaurants and bars and only a couple of minutes walk to the Lake.
Sylvia met us on arrival and was so helpful and informative. The apartment was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Would definately stay here again.
