We had a birthday dinner for six (mostly adults with one teenager) and with some trepidation tried the "free hand tasting menu" (as opposed to the molecular one). (Note the ability to mix and match between the two tasting menus was a nice option and not one often seen in my experience.)
The food was simply fantastic. From the crab to the foie gras to the pasta to the pork belly. The sommelier, Carmine, was wonderful and did a great job helping us pick wine in a efficient and tasty way (read: no pressure whatsoever to needlessly upgrade wines to more expensive versions).
The service was simply delightful as well -- all of the staff were engaging and formal enough, but not too formal. We had a great time.
And did I mentioned the views? Simply stunning. This place isn't cheap, but for what it offers I think it's a solid deal and a great place for a special occasion.
