A very comfortable Bed & Breakfast located in the "old town" area of Ventimiglia. A five minute taxi ride from the train station. (If you are fortunate enough to find a taxi.) There are 2 restaurants nearby offering good menus, but if you want a greater choice then a ten minute walk ( or a taxi) into the main town is required. There are some wonderful restaurants to be found there and it is worth the effort.

The Casa Fenoglia is a unique accommodation with wonderfully equipped and spotlessly clean rooms. The positioning of the bath, with a hand held shower head, within the open plan bedroom area is a little unfortunate as it does create problems avoiding water on the wooden floors. However, that aside, the rooms are well ventilated, with very efficient air conditioning and comfortable beds. Wi fi is included and works very well throughout the building.

The breakfasts are served on the open air balcony and are of a very high standard. I did find the seating area on the balcony a little cramped and the seats a little uncomfortable, but not worthy of complaining about. Both Arriana and Eliza, her breakfast assistant, are both extremely helpful even to the point of providing an omelette or scrambled egg at breakfast.

Free coffee is available 24 hrs and there is an "honesty" bar which has bottles of beer and wine available to guests at reasonable prices.

There are two very good beaches within 15 minutes walk of the Casa in either direction. It is set in a very atmospheric street with real local life going on around you and interesting little local bars nearby.

It should be emphasised that the location of this place necessitates the ability to walk up and down hills, but if you are in this category, then it is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms, made up of 2 doubles and 1 family room.

This B&B is placed in a very old beautiful building. the decoration is wonderful and the host is very helpful. Breakfast was croissants, yoghurts, juice all served on the balcony. Room at front was a bit noisy which is to be expected as on main road. Decoration is modern and quirky.

Room Tip: A room at the back is quieter but you face on to a myriad of Italian living which i like but for oth...

Second visit and as long as you are fit it is the perfect place to stay. Bed and breakfast with a difference. Friendly and cosy in a real village just a twenty minute walk into the centre or a bus for the faint hearted or if laden with shopping! Nowhere else for me

Hi - we took 2 of the 3 available rooms for one night. The owners do not live on site - it is a 3 or 4 bed apartment now used as B&B. The manageress/owner was very helpful - although we only saw her on arrival and at breakfast.

Rooms comfortable, nice decorations, but we did not find it as unique as some reviewers have commented. Also very dark inside the main lounge / dining area.

It was raining when we arrived and this made the arrival difficult. The entrance is on a narrowish one way street, so with traffic behind you, you can easily drive past it on the first pass or be hassled by traffic (remember it is only one apartment in an old apartment block) and then have a difficult zig zag back. 2nd time around we were smarter - pull up, get the luggage out, ignore the impatient cars behind us !, 2 passengers out and then drive on. Reverse the procedure on departure.

Parking was not good (insert your chosen four letter word here) but if it had not been raining then it might not have seemed so inconvenient.

Breakfast was in the ok department - nothing as good as in the pictures on their web site. And I don't understand how one can come so few kms across the French border and have the croissants deteriorate so much !

But yes it fulfilled its purpose and as a B&B I would stay there again if visiting and recommend it.
