It is the third time that we stay at the Minerva, so it is about time to write something about this excellent hotel. It is located outside the crowded city center on the slopes of a hill nearby the spectacular Monte di Portofino. The surroundings are quite and the view from the roof terrace lovely. This time, we rented a room nearby the roof-terrace, rather small but modern and nicely decorated in blue-green marine colors. Large double bed, small balcony opening on the city roofs, the Golfo Tigulio and the lower, wooden slopes of the Monte di Portofino, on the right. Wonderful buffet breakfast in a distinguished garden setting (the old family house of the hotel owner's family is on the opposite side of the garden). The director, his daughter, and all the personnel will welcome you in style.
Important: the hotel has a garage which is priceless in such a crowded place as Santa Margherita.

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel Minerva. The hotel is couple of of minutes away from the main attraction but don't let this discourage you. It is about five minutes away from the main street and the hotel has a roof top with an amazing view of St. Margherita (and sunbathing). I booked a room with a view, which was spectacular. The room was clean and fresh, the service was superb, and delicious breakfast. I actually extended by stay at this hotel by one night. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
