We stayed at the Agriturismo Oasi del Tigullio because we planed to explore the area and planned to stay somewhere reasonably priced near Portofino. If you have something similar in mind - this accommodation is a good choice because of its location.
Rooms, I agree, very clean (basic modern furniture though with no character).
Can not agree with the good reviews below regarding breakfast.
Breakfast consists of a packed break roll, jam containers and an acidy undrinkable orange juice liquid. Also an egg available on request.
I went to see what is there for breakfast because I need to feel my 5 year old daughter with "something". Egg was good and eatable. Teas and coffes they also make from a cheap tea making machine. It tasted horrible. Just normal tea from a tea bag and a hot water would have been much much better. Hostess I must say is very very nice and friendly.
Not sure why they called "agriturismo" also - may be because of chickens, otherwise it is just a house on the top of the hill.
Overall - location good, accommodation clean, no breakfast that I would consume in Italy unless desperate.
Hope this helps.

Excellent accommodation in the hills above Santa Margherita. Immaculately clean bedrooms, good free breakfast and the hosts cannot do enough for you. Air conditioned, great shower, cleaned every day with new towels daily. Ample parking available. Santa Margherita can be reached by car in 2-3 mins or take the bus but these stop at 8pm-ish. The two dogs are very cute, with Ted always wanting you to play with him. Once you throw the stick once, you'll never get ride of him. No dinner available, but one night we decided to get a pizza from the local pizzaria. We asked the hostess if she had a corkscrew to borrow and the next thing we knew, she opened the terrace for us to sit on, and got plates, knife/fork and glasses for us - perfect! First class hospitality - would return.

On a road trip we stumbled upon this gem of a place quite accidentally -my Italian is non existent but when we saw the place we booked two rooms for two nights just based on it feeling like a home..its not a bandb in the north American sense you each have outside entrances. What was remarkable was the homemade wine which was offered to us when we drank the last of ours. The free shuttles to the town so we din,t have to fight the parking. The magnificent view that we enjoyed until the we hours while playing fetch with the family dog named Ted.Wonderful way to experience this special part of the world.
