So exciting to wake up for a sunrise over the Ligurian Bay.

Great buffet breakfast with assistance from several wonderful staff in dining room.

Clean large room with ample closet and dresser space.

Great staff at front desk including John and Elisha.

Room Tip: pick room on high floor facing sea.

Fantastic view of Santa Margherita bay and the Mediterranean. Front desk staff very helpful and accommodating. In particular, John at the front desk was exceptional! He spent time each day helping us with boat and train schedules as well as making solid recommendations on what to be sure to see and do.

In prevous visits I had stayed across the street at the Imperial Palace, which is also a beautiful hotel, only twice the price and not directly on the water. We absolutely loved this hotel, the location is perfect (close to town and very close to the train station). They had a very nice continental breakfast that was included in the price. We had booked through priceline for the basic garden view room, however, when we arrived we asked to upgrade to an ocean view room and it was readliy available and very worth the extra cost. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The only downside was that they didn't have a pool at the hotel and charged for the use of lounge chairs at the beach. Wireless is available, though extremely slow, but you need to get a login number from the front desk. Parking was also an additional fee. All in all, very much worth the extra cost and we would definately stay their again.

Room Tip: Make sure you get an ocean view, the garden views have road noise.

I booked directly with the hotel to ensure we had a balcony with a sea side view. It was gorgeous. The staff helped me tremendously. There was a train stike and the staff member went on line and found out that my train was actually running that day. Another staff member got an ice bag for my husband's bad knee. The Hotel has a private beach with a staff member to help you with chairs, towels etc. ( I didn't know there was a charge for the beach chairs, but I didn't ask either). They have a nice snack bar with food and drinks available right there. The hotel is very close to the train station, and a short walk to the heart of the city of Santa Margherita. They have a large indoor and outdoor sitting area, picnic area, and beautiful grounds. I have stayed at another hotel in Santa Margherita before and I noticed it was very noisy there when we walked past it this time.

Room Tip: Send an e-mail to the hotel to ensure the sea view. The other rooms have hillside views only and wo...

We stayed for a couple of nights at this hotel before taking a cruise that leaves Savona. Our room had balcony that has stunning view of the Ligurian Sea and Santa Margherita below (the hotel being situated on a high cliff). It was pretty small but we were just there to sleep. The bathroom was more modern and equipped with great amenities. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but it hardly counts when the eyes are feasting on the gorgeous views that the breakfast terrace offers. The hotel ground was well-kept and beautiful with walkways leading to the water below. We found the hotel staff friendly, courteous and helpful. The train station was within walking distance and so was the town center. I was glad to have stayed at this hotel and would not mind staying here again if we ever return.
