We had lunch here after our long walk from Monterosso. We were seated immediately and the food was good, if a bit overpriced, but not a surprise for the area. The location is fantastic just next to the water. our only complaint is the slow service, it took forever to get our check.

As the town is so overrun with tour groups, most of the restaurants just seem to come across as a cash grab. We had a terrible time for lunch at another spot - and so we were skeptical about dinner at Gianni Franzi, but pleasantly surprised. They didn't have a table on the patio, but we were able to go and grab a drink and sit out while waiting. The guy working the patio came to find us as soon as he had a table. Service was attentive and pleasant (not something you find a lot of in Italy). The food was really good, we were very pleased with our experience. Would recommend for dinner, later at night, once the tour group insanity dies down.

The setting next to the harbour is wonderful , but that is about it ! The service was barely interested and to be charged €6 for stale bread is nothing but a blatant tourist rip off. My husband had a barely edible spaghetti bolognaise and I have to say my pesto pasta was good. There are other places, of better value , in Vernazza. The tables are too close together and a private conversation is impossible.

Recommended by a local. Waited 15mins for a table. The stuffed mussels was a hit while the black tagliatelle with shrimps was a miss.
Service was fast amd polite. Price abit on the high side but expected from a touristy location.

We were recommended this restaurant by a local.
Fantastic location right in the heart if the square.
Fabulous food.
I had minestrone to start which was amazing and then the specialty stuffed mussels which were good!
Partner had Vongole pasta to start and veal scalloping, both delicious.
Lovely friendly staff.
Highly recommend
