Near the castle, Fuori Rotta has an incredible sea view and an excellent, though limited menu. The menu featured 4 appetizers - including a meat & cheese platter, a vegetarian platter; a few pastas - including a carbonara, local pesto, and a twist on a lasagna; and 3-4 entrees. We had and really enjoyed the vegetarian platter which surprised with its creativity - it included a hearty hummus, a potato-based spread, a sweet onion sauce, and an eggplant lasagna. The local pesto pasta was incredibly fresh. And the Parmesan and speck lasagna reminded me more of a delicious soufflé from its creaminess and heartiness. We really enjoyed our meal and encourage visitors to check it out. The view and food are both worth the 5 minute steep walk.
We sat at 9:30 on a Monday night and were the only tourists.
