I arranged for a full day tour with driver. Monica was our guide. So knowledgable and excellent English. Guido was our driver and was superb. Took all of the stress out of the day. We learned so much about how parmigiano reggiano, prosciutto Di Parma is made, we met the owner of a vineyard who is experimenting with ways of eliminating sulphites and reducing the carbon footprint of his facility. We had an amazing lunch of local favourites at the vineyard and ended the day with a tour of acetaio San donnino in Modena
Learned so much about the products and the standards that are observed to maintain the good name of the region as the food valley. I guess the tour company chose it's name for a very good reason.
