We booked the tower because of the reviews here.
Unique property with lots of beds for everyone, nice kitchen space with plenty of amenities, nice view from the rooftop. The pull out bed was comfortable.
Please be aware that there are 3 flights up and then 3-4 flights within the apartment. It is a narrow apartment. Bath with washing machine, Kitchen, living room with pull out couch on first floor. Then up to a bedroom, then a bath then another bedroom, then a pull down ladder to the roof.
If you are sleeping on the pull out couch bring a sleeping mask to keep out the morning sun.
It is walking distance to main square, restaurants, shopping etc
The Medieval Tower did not disappoint, Daria was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We arrived early but were shown around by the cleaner and left our bags to explore. It is situated in the University area, great little bar downstairs with very friendly staff.
The tower was clean and comfortable, lots of steps - but that is always going to be the downside to get that view from the top. Lovely balcony, and whilst the steps to the roof terrace weren’t for the faint hearted, it was worth it.
My companion and I have just spent 5 nights in Daria’s lovely Authentic Towers’ apartment situated conveniently in the Universiity area. It was such a good experience whether sitting on the charming balcony or viewing the 360 degree vista of the City from the rooftop terrace. Bologna is a fascinating city to explore. We enjoyed it and think it was a truly 5* city break!
We loved the Tower apartment, in the historic city centre with amazing views over the beautiful city and hills beyond in every direction. Very comfortable and well equipped - great to have two bathrooms. Daria the owner was very friendly and helpful - this is the best holiday apartment we have ever stayed in, we recommend it. We enjoyed the vertical layout, with spiral stairs between each floor and the views changing at each level - but there are a lot of stairs, which may not be suitable for everyone.
The pictures don't do it justice. This place is absolutely charming. Lots of stairs, so not for the mobility-impaired or faint of heart. But totally worth the climb(s). Windows in every direction, and super helpful landlord. A gem.
