This was just a short walk from our AirBnb and upon asking our hosts where the locals like to eat, this is the place they pointed us towards. The place is very simple but full of character. The owner is very charming and takes great pride in his restaurant. We ordered some regional dishes and all of them were very tasty. Before paying our bill and heading out, we grabbed a quick espresso at the bar counter just to seal the deal. All in all, a great local dining experience!

Has all the local recepies of Bologna. The host is very welcoming and does his best to communicate with you. We had the lasagna and the tortellini al ragu, and they were both delicious. Would recommend it to anyone staying in the neighborhood!

This was walking distance from our hotel, and chosen after consulting TA reviews - which mentioned the strong personality of the owner!
We have found that in such establishments it is best to go with the flow, and let them help you with menu selections. This worked great, between us we selected a shared starter platter, followed by a pasta ragu and a tripe dish, a couple of puddings and excellent coffees. A bottle of local sangiovese disappeared quite quickly.
The restaurant was busy and buzzy, mostly locals.
A first class holiday dinner experience, which was also great value. We hope to return to Bologna, and if we do we will certainly visit this restaurant again.
BTW don't be put off with an English menu that includes pictures of some of the dishes - this is just to help them explain to non-Italian speaking customers!

Food was great, staff was friendly. My mother had the Ragu Bolognese, I had taglieta with tomato, prosciutto and onion and my son had four cheese pasta.

We went in at 8pm and were the first customers, 1 hour later the place was full, mostly Italians. The owner was very friendly and asked several times the food was good. Not all of the menu was available. Dessert was delichious. After dinner we asked for limoncello, which was home made. When we asked for a refill, the bottle was placed on our table and there was no charge made for the limoncello. Good food between the Italians!
