Excellent location, staff and facilities. Practically in the very center across the street from the castle. Arrived by bus no 46 from Pesaro (45 minutes, € 3;70). Went to the tourist information to get a map. Appeared there was an elevator up to the level of the hotel. Very handy when you have luggage. For Italy the room was big and with a view over the rooftops of Urbino. Very charming. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable.
Good breakfast, and you can ask for any coffee and they'll make if for you there and then.

Room tip: Lots of steps, so if you have problem walking, ask for a room where you can use the elevator

We booked a Deluxe room at a very reasonable 130e. We were in room#529 which was so spacious, spotless, and modern with every convenience: table and chairs, hot water kettle, frig, plugs by the beds, separate toilet/ sink from shower/sink, and even a balcony.
Staff was very nice and the breakfast was good, and there was a beautiful terrace near the breakfast room. We found the hotel easily via Google maps. Dropped our luggage and easily found the underground parking lot nearby (10e). There is a lift from the hotel street level to garage (.50e charge). Many great cafes right near the hotel. We really enjoyed our one night stay in Urbino!

I was originally staying in Urbino at the Albergo Italia for 3 nights but the hotel was so nice and Urbino so fascinating that I ended up staying for 5 nights. The hotel is conveinetly located in the very heart of Urbino close to Piazza Rebulica and the Ducal Palace. Walking distance to everything. The monuments, great restuarants, a grocery store up the street and gelati places. The rooms are a nice size with great views. The bathrooms are a good size as well. The rooms as well as the whole hotel are immaculate. A great value. The staff are all very friendly and accomadating. The free breakfast is amazing. It is continental. The wide variety of offerings is amazing. You could spend 20 minutes just deciding on the kind of tea you want. They have "American" coffee which is not good but you can order a cappachiono, latte probably anything you can get at Starbucks. You will not go hungry. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10. I usually went around 8 so all of the people leaving on tours are gone and the place is nice and quiet.

Room tip: Ask for a room in the back. The receptionist will guide you.

Colleagues and myself turn to this hotel after we were booked at the hotel Tortorina, per recommendation of our business partners. After arriving to total chaos we transported ourselves to Albergo, a lovely small hotel in the center of Urbino, reasonably priced with a nice breakfast buffet, but most importantly with pristine rooms, great front desk service and comfortable rooms and common spaces. Next time I am in Urbino, this is definitely my go to place!

I stayed at Albergo Italia for 3 nights in Oct 2017. Wow. What a brilliant location almost in the centre of Piazza della Repubblica...absolutely in the heart of the historic centre. Ealking distance to absolutely everything worth seeing in Urbino. The hotel itself is the oldest in Urbino, with a gorgeous typically rustic courtyard, with comfortable chairs and tables...and yet it has absolutely every modern amenity! The rooms are impeccable, clean and comfortable. The staff, at Reception, in the dining room, and housekeeping, are obliging, friendly and very efficient. The breakfast is pretty amazing...I don't think that anyone could ask for more! This is definitely the place to stay at, while in Urbino. Strongly recommended.
