All round this was a lovely place to stay. The first thing that hits you is the view; St Peter's Basilica towers over the Roman skyline, and it's even more spectacular at night, lit with a soft glow. As is obvious from the view, the apartment is a short walk to the Vatican, and an even shorter walk to the nearest Metro station (which is pretty easy to navigate, considering we managed it!). To walk into central town takes about an hour, but is a great way to enjoy the sun, and take in the atmosphere of all the little shops and cafes on the way. (It's also within easy walking distance of a supermarket).
The apartment itself is lovely, if a little small, but that much is shown in the pictures, so nothing comes as a shock. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, from bowls, plates and cups to a rice cooker (although we did find a lack of tea-towels, there is a drying rack in one of the overhead cupboards). There was no air conditioning (possibly the only major fault we found), but a fan per bedroom was provided. It was wonderfully clean and just generally lovely.
Emmanuella was very kind, meeting us at the apartment and letting us know everything, and offering to arrange transport from the airport to the apartment for 50 euros, so we didn't have to try and navigate Rome's transport system as soon as we arrived.
All in all, a wonderful trip all round, would definitely recommend,
