A huge space - it is all a littel mind boggling. Can't imagine what it would be like when packed! We were tired though so were happy to make our way to some food and drink just outside the square.

Fabulous place which looks today the same as 1000 years ago. I usualy enjoy only to sit under the marmour colons and to look at the San Peters Dome and do nothing. Great...

St. Peter's Square is a large public plaza located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City. This square is impressive but mind you, the queue is very long since it is free to visit. The sculptures here are gorgeous and it is the very place where you can see the Pope's appearance on many TV appearances. Impressive and not to be missed.

The square is beautiful both by day and night. Standing inside the square, you can see St. Peter’s Basilica and fountains. During the day, the square is full of people waiting in line for St. Peter’s Basilica so arrive early or late to get the best views and pictures.
