“Great city break - get the ROMA PASS”
Reviewed 4 August 2009

Perfect place for a city break! Went in january when the crowds were down, which worked out great for us. Didn't have a single bad meal, but if you want to save some money, head into any of the piazza's and find a small butcher..pick up a bottle of wine, fresh cheeses, meats, olives, bread etc. We did this on our last night and wish we would have done it every night! All of teh above mentioned fed 3 people with plenty of leftovers and cost less than a 10er!

We did encounter quite a line at the colosseum but luckily we purchased the ROMA pass, which allowed us to jump the line and get right in. During low tourist season, the line we would have waited in was 2 hours if we didn't have the pass. We didn't use it on anything else (sadly) but was well worth it for the one time!

Also, the red top bus tours are great here. They stop at all the hot spots and plenty of food and drink along the way.

What can I say ? I always have a great time is this beautiful city.
Some much to do and enjoy that you would need to spend many years in Rome and even then you probably won't see everything.

The locals are very friendly.

“Rome 3.5 days”
Reviewed 29 July 2009

Re Hotel Cancelli Rossi - close to Fiumicino. Nice clean hotel and helpful staff. Breakfast a walk across the car park but very good. Watch out for the 'Hotel Shuttle' to Rome City or the airport. It is not run by the hotel but a private 'franchise' and when we were there for 3 days we had to use normal Taxis that cost more than twice as much. My wife had had leg surgery and the Shuttle was a good idea - but it was not available as the driver was busy with a conference!!

For Limo/Taxi we recommend Rome-Cabs. Private service big vehicles for lotsa luggage, aircon and nice friendly drivers. Fixed price and no tip expected but always gratefully accepted.

“Easitalytours the Ideal Guide to Italy!”
Reviewed 27 July 2009

My husband and I have traveled on our own through Europe many years ago but this was going to be our first trip as a family. We wanted to book through a company that had extensive expertise in Italy and we also wanted to contract a private guide. We began our search for Hotels and private guides on google.
But as soon as we spoke to Mario at easitalytours we knew that our search had come to an end. He tried to accommodate our every need and he gave us suggestions on everything from restaurants to Hotels.

When we finally arrived in Rome after a delayed and rough flight we were immediately met by Max. Max was delightful from the first moment we met him till end of our time with him. He spoke perfect English and had an easy-going but professional demeanor. He put all of us at ease even the children (which is no easy feat). He was our primary guide and driver while in Rome.

We did arrange a separate guide through easitalytours for the Vatican, our guide Giulia took us on the "First of the day" tour in which we were one of the first groups to see the Vatican on that day. I highly recommend doing this tour’ you avoid the large crowds and you will get a better appreciation for the beautiful art work and artifacts without feeling claustrophobic and rushed. This was just one of many wonderful tours arranged through easitalytours.

All the tours are done in a way in which you are not bogged down with tons of facts, dates, etc but they are knowledgeable enough to give full range of information on all the sights. Max took us to a few sights in which we were able to get in fairly quickly because he seemed to know almost everyone at the various places. If we needed a last minute restaurant reservation Max got it for us (not always but in most cases). If we wanted to make some changes to our itinerary he was flexible in trying to accommodate us when possible. For example we had initially planned to drive ourselves to Florence but decided that we wanted a driver instead. Between Mario from easitalytours and Max we were able to work out where Max spent another day with us to drive us to Florence on the drive Max even arranged a last minute wine and cheese tasting tour in a small town near Siena.

Easitalytours will go the extra mile for you and your family to make for a special trip.
