We were trying to figure out where to have dinner on Thursday evening, May 31 and this struck my eye on the New York Times list of great places to eat in Rome. Paolo was a master host and I could tell from the moment I called to book when I asked how hard it would be to get a taxi back (he replied usually the guests do not have to walk back,)
Terrific spot, not far out of the city or too much in a taxi. Well worth it. Great history, great surroundings, great food, great host, great service. I would say my complaint is I ate too much. Portions are generous and I could have skipped the main courste as the pasty was fantastic and satisfying. Good wine too.
Definitely a treat and someplace we will talk about once home in Mexico.
