I was living in this area so naturally I tried it, nice tables in the tiny streets of historic trastevere, watch people go by, also met some cool italian guys who took me to a disco, thats what happens if you start talking Im habitual i think, so I ate the spaghetti vongole, clams and pomodoro, tomatoes several times, its very good. Could have been more clams, but anyway, bruschetta good too. Also got a song from a great singer just sitting at the table, Pamela D'amico☺️ ginos father started it in 51. It aint cheap, 14 euros for the spaghetti. Martin

The service was ok and the food nice and fresh but there were better cheaper places nearby that I tried. No free WiFi either despite what it says.

We, the family, picked this restaurant at random for lunch when hungry after a very enjoyable wander in the streets of this charming neighbourhood.
And it is excellent - we had a pizza with anchovy, pasta with oxtail and tripe. Great food with lovely house wine.
The service is excellent and friendly and really helpful.
After a walk we returned for coffee and cognac and we were greeted like old friends.
A memorable lunch in a great setting.

We had walked for what seemed like hours and ended up in Trastavere looking for something to eat. Lots of tourist spot abd we picked Gino51 hoping for a reasonable meal. The food was excellent with a starter of focaccio with ham and a delicious sea bass to follow with sides of salad and roasted vegetables. Portions were too big no room for anything else apart from coffee. Service was very good and the prices likewise. Always difficult to pick a restaurant in these tourist places but we had a great time

I've eaten dinner here several times during trips to Rome. It can be touristic but I've also been here with people who live in Rome. I was just here on 9-24 for lunch and had great prosciutto and melon and pizza. A nice option if you are near Trastevere.
