We spent a week at Cristina's home. It had everything we needed and was so comfortable to come back to each day. The air conditioning was a welcome relief and it was great to have a washing machine. Close to places we wanted to visit and also to the metro to visit places further away. Shops and market within walking distance.

“Excellent apartment and host”

We stayed at two different places in Rome for our trip in Rome for 5 (2 adults, 2 teen and one child). Cristina's place was chosen because it was 5 minutes walk from the Vatican museum and 10 minutes from St. Peter Basicilica.

Cristina was great at arranging for a professional driver Irina to pick us up in a real van at FCO for 60 Euros. Cristina is a friendly, gracious host who treated us very well. Her English isn't that deep so Google Translate is your friend. The nice touch was a bottle of wine to welcome us.

NOTES ON APARTMENT:
Apt. was at level 2 (US style 3rd floor). Apartment was as shown on the photos of the owner. There is an elevator but it will fit 2 small persons or 4 carry-on luggage. It was clean, well furnished with AC and the kids all had their own beds in the second room. AC was heaven sent as Rome was super hot and humid. Bathroom is small as per typical Rome's apartment but adequate. The drain in the shower don't drain as quick but that was the same experience we had at another place near the Coloseum. Don't bother using the laundry washing machine in her place as it is typical of European washer in that it takes 3-6 hours to do a wash. And no one uses a clothes dryer (from my experience in France and other places) in their homes. This means that normal clothes take all day to dry if you hang them. So best to use those travel clothing from Columbia or REI as those allow you to hang dry overnight.
There is a small dining room and a very small kitchen as well as a refrigerator and sink. We didn't use this as we ate out.

LOCATION:
Apt was near all the local trattiere and restaurants and shops. We used the ATM from the Montepasori di Siena bank (oldest bank in Italy) 2 blocks from the apartment as that allowed us to withdraw from our B of America account. Apt. was 5-10 minutes walk to Metro Ottavio line B which allowed me to reach Termini Metro in 15 minutes and from there to the Leonardo Express line to FCO. I didn't like using buses as they were so crowded (pickpocket heaven). BTW, Subway in Rome is air-conditioned, unlike Paris.

OTHER NOTES:
Cleaning was an additional 50 Euros for our two nights, which is typical. Don't forget that there is also a Rome city tax of 5Euros per person per day.

Of the two places we stayed in Rome for our trip, my kids loved her place. I would highly recommend Cristina's place with no reservation. In fact, when we return next time, we will stay here again.

“Beautiful apartment and fantastic location”

My wife, my three adult daughters and I loved the apartment as it was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and everything like new condition. All the amenities one could ask for. Also, great location with a parking garage just around the corner. Cristina was very pleasant and greeted us at the apartment to give us a quick overview of it. Excellent experience overall and highly recommended.

“Excellent Accommodation and Experience”

Apartment based close to Vatican in area busy during day but safe and quiet in evenings. Good transport links nearby with an abundance of local eateries. The apartment is typical of the size for Rome but the decor is very tastefully done and rather "Boutique Hotelish". It has everything you need.
Our flight to Rome was re routed, delayed and I was late to notify this problem. Cristina was very helpful and organised a very professional and friendly handover. We were very glad of this as the rest of the day was a nightmare. I will happily stay here again and recommend it to any one else wishing to escape the stress of the heart of the city. We have walked to some sites and used the train to others, the information provided by the owner is very honest.
