“Brilliant location”
Reviewed 4 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Fabulous location, it really is within 15 minutes of the Vatican, and surrounded by restaurants and several supermarkets close by.

The accommodation is clean and spacious enough for 4 people.

You can find just about everything you need in the apartment for your stay, from an io0rn to hair drier to umbrellas to borrow.

Angela and her husband are most accommodating and there is a guest book with lots of tips from fellow travellers which is worth its weight in gold.

We had a fabulous time.

“Beautiful Apartment a bit off the beaten path”
Reviewed 3 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This is a charming, cozy 4th floor apartment in a quiet residential section behind the Vatican, down the hill and maybe eight to ten blocks from the stairs that lead to the Vatican museum. Two good sized bedrooms, one with twin beds. The kitchen is small but well stocked and nicely set up. The living room/dinette is cute too with a small balcony that overlooks the courtyard. There is a tiny elevator that barely fits three people. The bathroom is big; the shower a converted bathtub. There's a small washing machine. Everything you need is there: plates, paper towels, cleaning products, toilet articles. It's a nice cool quiet place with the typical Italian windows that open in and have outside shutters (sportolloni) that pull down to keep the place cool, but have holes in them for air.
Angela was an angel. Our flight into Rome was really early, but she let us leave our luggage early (the elevator is tiny) and arranged to let us in the apartment earlier than checkin. We were a bit jet lagged and the extra time inside really helped. Bless her.
The neighborhood sports one of the best pizzerias in Rome - Bonci. Fresh veggies and aged dough and olive oil. Crowded but amazing.
To get anywhere downtown you have to walk to the local metro stop (Cipro) or take a cab at the taxi stand right by the Cipro subway. IMPORTANT: it's almost impossible to flag a cab down. You almost always have to find a taxi stand which are near or at all the major sites of interest. The buses are good too. Find out on line first where you want to go and which bus to take. Most tobacco stores sell bus tickets.
There are coffee shops and restaurants around the neighborhood that are all good. Yhe neighborhood is not a hot spot, it is off the beaten path. But that might be just the thing for you. My son and nephew loved the apartment.

“Perfect location”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Superb apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need to make your holiday pleasurable. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Location very close to the vatican and the metro stop. If you want to feel the real Roman way of life this is the perfect place to stay. Will definitely book again if ever we are in Rome again.

“Good location and communication”
Reviewed 8 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The reservation process and subsequent communication to organise hand over of the keys went very smoothly. The owner reacts quickly and to the point. During our stay and around leaving time there is also F/U to make sure everything goes well.

For the apartment itself the good points are the size and the location. It is perfect for two couples or a couple with children. The location is convenient because close to a metro station, supermarket and a couple of recommendable restaurants and it is relatively quiet at night.

The main downsides however were the fact that the apartment is fairly rundown and there is no air conditioning. The state of the furniture is quite poor with chairs on the verge to collapse and the kitchen and bathroom are not really comfortable to use. The lack of airco was particularly worrisome considering the 40 degree temperatures during our stay. Finally it wasn't as bad as it could have been through careful control of windows, shutters and the two fans.

All in all it didn't detract from a good couple of days in Rome.
