“Fantastic Hotel not to be missed!”
Reviewed 13 June 2012

What can I say .................... we have just returned from Rome and this hotel was FANTASTIC. Our room was immaculate and spacious and contained everything needed! The Staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast in the morning shouldn't be missed - the pancakes were LOVELY. The terrace where you can have your breakfast and drinks at night, look over the Trevi Fountain .. what more could you ask for? We were so sad to leave this beautiful hotel, we have stayed in lots of hotels and can honestly say this is one of the best we have stayed at. This hotel truly made our stay in this beautiful city a memorable one, and we are counting down the days to return.

Having just risked spending 3 days at the Relais Fontana di Trevi despite reading some daunting reviews described as "terrible", I can honestly say that we had the most wonderful experience of courteous service, an upgraded room to die for and a breakfast terrace that surpassed even our highest expectation. We are experienced travellers and highly critical of poor value and have never written a review before but our experience here led us to put our praise in writing.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms in the main hotel not the annexe

This hotel lived up to all our expectations. It was a Xmas/Birthday present from our son, and we had a truly great time. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. The staff were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast area was really pretty and looked over the Trevi Fountain, which was just a few steps away. It was very central and most places of interest were within easy walking distance. Rome surely has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world and this hotel just made it extra special. Highly recommended and I hope we will be back one day!

We will be back. Three of us went for 4 nights and could not have asked for more. The room and the bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean. All members of staff were so helpful and friendly that you were happy to spend time with them at the hotel and ask for any assistance their language skills matched their impeccible customer service. In a perfect position for walking to all of the sites and if not they will arrange taxis or guide you to the metro or buses. The taxi will pick you up at the door and we used it twice (our feet were killing by day 3) and it was not expensive and a great experience. Bars at restaurants all around with good food and although our room looked over the road and bars the glazing was excellent and we slept with no problems. Not one complaint if going to rome do not hesitate to book this hotel.

Room Tip: We were in the Annexe and would use it again.

We arrived at the hotel at 11:00a. Concierge was there promptly while the taxi driver unloaded our luggage. The bellhop took our luggage up the stair to the reception. We were asked to wait until 1:00p for the available room. When we came back, we were upgraded to a larger room free. Although the decoration of the room did not match with the bathroom, the room size is consider really big in Europe. Nice LCD TV & good Wi-Fi .

People at the reception were very helpful. We asked them for a nice restaurant and were very satisfy with the food & price. It was not too far away from the hotel. We hadn't mentioned that we were the hotel guest and still got good service. Even free liqueur after dinner.

Hotel location was excellent. We walked to every favorite sites during the two days we were in Rome. Will definitely stay in this hotel when we come back again.

Needless to say, frolicking in the fountain today will probably land you with a hefty fine to pay, but if you can resist diving in, this beautiful Renaissance masterpiece is generally regarded as one of Rome’s most romantic spots. Our LocationTaking our name from the fountain, which is just a few metres away from the entrance to our luxury rooms & suites, the Relais Fontana di Trevi puts guests deep in the cobble-stoned heart of renaissance Rome, with other landmarks such as the Spanish Steps and Piazza Barberini within easy walking distance. ... more   less
