Friendly! Warm! Wonderful! Homey! Convenient!

We stayed with Laura in her beautiful home, along with several other international guests, for 5 nights in March 2012. This inviting B and B is located a good 15 minute walk from Termini Train Station, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our room and bathroom were beautiful, fresh, clean and spacious. The 12 foot ceilings, with tall windows opening onto a back courtyard, made for a quiet hideaway from the busy, big city traffic.

From the B and B, a two block walk on the Via Manzoni leads you to the red line metro which provides transport to the major tourist attractions – including St. Peter’s and the Vatican, Castel S. Angelo, Villa Borghese, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Walking several blocks south you can visit San Giovanni in Laterno and catch a bus to whisk you south to the San Sebastian or San Castillo Catacombs. A ten minute walk west finds you in front of the Colosseum along with the entrances to the Forum and Pallatine Hill. Nearby is Esquilino Park where you can watch men play bocce ball, or visit the important churches of St. Pietro in Vincoli and San Clemente. More importantly, it’s located 2 blocks from the famous Gelato Factory!

Laura helped us plan our daily excursions, answered our questions (in English) and helped us with our limited Italian. She makes the most beautiful cappuccinos, complete with smiley face, and we are absolutely addicted to blood orange juice. We enjoyed spending our breakfasts with young couples from Denmark and Germany, sharing our favorite “don’t miss” sites. Laura also made several restaurant suggestions and helped us with airport transportation at the end of our visit.

We felt so welcome in Laura’s home. We really enjoyed chatting with her and her daughter, Emma (and talking a little Harry Potter and dance  ). We would highly recommend this B and B to those preferring warm and cozy accommodations.

Arrivederci; Ciao!

Laura our host was so warm and wonderful she really made our trip, She could not have dome more to make our trip better. She took a lot of time helping us plan our day and gave us the confidence to hop on and off the wonderful public bus and metro system. My son got sick our last day in Rome and Laura offered to my son soup to help him feel better. She treated him like he was her baby. You could never find a better place to sty in Rome. We enjoyed the neighborhood close to the metro and good places to eat. Our room was very clean and comfortable, Breakfast was fresh and well laid out. this is the place to stay in Rome.

This was just the perfect place to stay in Rome. The situation is very good, at 5 minutes walk from the metro station. And 15 minutes walk from the coliseum.
The house and the room are very confortable. Very nice and big room where we immediately felt at home.
Laura is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
We highly recommend this place !

We, as many others, got tempted by the excessive amount of high reviews Aldebaran and her hostess, Laura, received over the years. It was well deserved! The breakfast was complete and could be adjusted according to each one's taste. Laura was always glad to help us planning our trip, including side tips regarding restaurants, less obvious sight-seeing etc. The room was cosy and included private bathroom and cloakroom. The nearest metro station was about 3 minutes walk but most of the main attractions were easy to reach by walking. We wholeheartly recommend this place to anyone willing to enjoy their trip in Rome.

We stayed at B&B Aldebaran last fall and found it a wonderful, affordable place to stay for our visit to Rome. Laura's B&B is clean, modern, light and close enough to walk to some of the major sights. But in addition to the amenities, Laura herself really helped us when we needed it. Our next stop after Rome was scheduled to be Cinque Terre, but the day we arrived in Rome massive flooding almost wiped Cinque Terre out. Laura helped us find out information on the disaster--even calling a hotel in Riomaggiore to find out if they were still operational. Thank you Laura!!
We had the room with the shared bath which wasn't a problem. Toilette and bidet had good pressure, although it takes a little time for the hot water to make it upstairs. Breakfast was good and varied, using fresh local products--salume, cheeses and yogurts especially.
Free wi-fi is included. The signal was a little weak upstairs, but fine downstairs and in the breakfast room. Laura was also very helpful in explaining the metro and where to catch the buses.

Aldebaran b&b, situated in the heaart of Rome, was born in March 2006 in Laura Tiberi's family house. It all started with her imagination, from souvenirs of trips made, and the historical memory to which this place belongs. The idea was to create a unique location, full of charm decorated with warm colors and styles, between the private dwelling and a real and refined hospitality.
