I was so glad I opted for my family of eight - 4 adults, two teenagers and two pre-teens - to stay at this apartment in Monti. This apartment is huge. Three full bedrooms, two with double beds and another with two single beds. The sofa in the living room converts into a sofa bed so it can accommodate another two adults. Ample closet and cupboard space for you to store your clothes and put away your luggage. The beds were very comfortable.
The kitchen can seat six comfortably and eight if need be. It is equipped with stove, large refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, and all one would need to cook a meal. The host also had basic condiments, oil, salt, pepper, sugar and coffee available for guests to use.
The living room had a huge TV, with Netflix, that proved to be a hit with the kids on the days that rained in Rome when we were there. More importantly, for us especially, was the fact that there were two huge bathrooms so we need not fight over the use of the bathroom each morning. The apartment also came with a washer and dryer - a rare thing in Rome - enabling us to get our washing done in the winter when it was cold and wet on some days.
We found the location of the apartment for our needs. It was a 5-7 minute walk to Roma Termini station so we were able to walk over on the day trips that we had planned to Pompeii, Naples and Amalfi coast. We were very close to two metro stations though we ended up using the red line primarily, and this made it easy for us to get to the Vatican, Trevi foundation and the Spanish steps. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a large supermarket a minute away.
This was the first time in Rome for many of us. I was a little wary of staying in a place slightly away from the downtown core but ended up really loving the Monti area. It is clearly more local so you felt that you were in a more residential area. Everyone was very friendly and there were just so many nooks and crannies to explore. The other residents in the apartment complex were always friendly and we felt at home. The location so close to Termini was just simply amazing, yet the area immediately around the apartment didn't feel unsafe. There was a lot of buzz on the main street but the apartment was in a side street and was very quiet throughout our stay.
I also want to thank the hosts - Gabriella and her sister. They helped arrange the transport to and from the airport, met us at the apartment and explained how to use the various appliances. When we had issues with the temperature in the apartment, they addressed it quickly. All our questions were answered very promptly. Wonderful hosts indeed! Thank you.
I would highly recommend this apartment for those of you traveling with a family or in a large group. It is huge, extremely comfortable, and in a great location to explore and learn about Rome.
Perfect for two couples. We really enjoyed the convenient location that this apartment offers. Gabriella hosts a very clean, well decorated flat that includes great amenities. I would return on my next visit.
We had two mature adult couples stay at the apartment for one week. The apartment provided us with a great place to wind down after each day of sightseeing as well as air conditioned luxury at night. The location could not have been better - a short walk to the colosseum and also a short walk to Termini. A pastry shop provided us with great pastries each morning and there many very good restaurants in the immediate area. Check in and check out were easy and Guido provided great service from the airport to the apartment. It would be hard to do much better for your stay in Rome. - Carl Dingler, Las Vegas
We just got back from a three city tour in Italy and I had the pleasure of staying at this apartment. The owner is amazingly helpful. We had an issue with the wifi and they got right over and fixed it. The apartment was very nice. It was the best apartment out of the three we stayed at during our visit to Italy. It is large and the accommodations are very comfortable. It has two nice big bathrooms which our group at five needed. The best thing for me was that it had an elevator. That may not seem like a big deal but after staying at two other apartments that were up three flights of stairs and dragging luggage up and down them the elevator was a nice touch. I can't say enough good things about this apartment. The location made it very easy to get wherever you wanted to go. The owners can also set you up with a driver if you need one. It was just one of the many things that helped our trip go smoothly. I highly recommend this apartment if you are planning on staying in Rome!
We loved staying here. From the time we booked it to the time we left Gabriella made staying here extremely easy. The location was so convenient - just minutes from the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and other places to see. There were restaurants we all enjoyed within walking distance. Gabriella sent us information that helped us get around, her sister, Francesca met my brother and sister in law to get them in since they arrived in Rome before we did. The apartment was very spacious, quiet and perfect for 5 adults. It was very hot while we were there and the ac was great. They even had their driver take us to the airport at 4:30 in the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and hope to take advantage of it again.
