“Great Hotel wth the best shopping right there!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2012

We (my sister and our daughters) stayed for 4 days following a cruise. The location could not be better...walk out the front door and into Hermes... Bvlgari and Cartier within a half block! The hotel itself is beautifully done. Our rooms were large and very comfortable...the girls room was 2 stories and even had a sauna!. The roof top terrace was perfect for breakfast or a nightly glass of wine from the honor bar. The staff was very attentive and courteous. I would certainly recommend this very stylish hotel!!!

Room Tip: Because the hotel is over the Ferragamo store the rooms are of varying sizes. The room with the saun...

After exhaustive research on luxury hotels in Rome i decided on Portrait Suites for 4 nights in May. When we return to Rome I will absolutely stay there again. The boutique hotel is very well run and beautifully appointed. Feels more like staying in the townhome of a friend rather than a hotel experience. Anything we required was taken care of promptly and the staff is professional, helpful and we always found someone to be available. We had a terrace facing the via Condotti with a view to the Spanish Steps. This is a superb location for visitors who want to be close to the Historical sights in Rome. Everything we wanted to see during our short stay was within walking distance. Bonus: the rooftop terrace is a gorgeous place to take your complimentary continental breakfast when the weather is nice, it's also great for a cocktail from the "honor bar".

Room Tip: ask for a Condottoi View

Stayed 4 nights with wife and 4 yo son in the Via Condotti Suite NS (Room 433).

Location was so convenient, right on via Condotti so close to shops and restaurants. When I booked, I was worried about staying at a boutique hotel with a 4 year old, but didn't have any problems at all.

The suite is really a nice 1 BR apartment with lots of room for closet space, nice bedroom, comfortable living room with sofa and dining table, kitchenette cleverly hidden near the entrance, large bathroom with shower, bath, and space for toiletries, etc. Extremely well designed for efficiency and lack of clutter. Shower had strong water pressure which is always a plus. Bed, pillows, and blankets are comfortable and neutral smell. Onsite staff are very warm and friendly and all of the restaurant recommendations (conveniently stored on an in-room ipad) were spot on. Great rooftop terrace for breakfast and evening drinks (honor bar). There are so few rooms that you hardly run into any other guests so sometimes it feels like your own place.

We were in Italy for 2 weeks (Armani Hotel in Milan, Palazzo Barbarigo in Venice, Capri Palace in Capri) and although those are great hotels (and suites) as well, there were always small things that kept it from being perfect. Portrait Suites was able to get everything right. Compared to what we paid for suites at the other hotels, this was the least expensive which makes it the best value.
