This is a really lovely appartment only a 10 minute walk away from the Colleseum and the historic centre of Rome. I was struggling to find an appartment with 4 bedrooms to accommodate my extended family when I stumbled across this property, owned by brothers Rino and Nicola. The appartment was lovely and clean and well equipped with everything you need for a week away. The location was perfect for us, close to the main train station and all the historic attractions of Rome. It's easy to call a taxi from the free phone in the appartment but we found it just as easy to reach all of the sites on foot from the appartment even Vatican City. There is a convenient supermarket 3 minutes from the appartment plus a great gelato factory. We stayed from 7th to 14th October 2015 and were met at the appartment by Rino., having been transferred from the airport by Carlo, who Rino had organised for us.
The appartment is on the 5th floor but there is a lift to cater for those who don't fancy the climb. Nothing was too much trouble for Rino. We noticed straight away that the advertised kettle and toaster weren't there. One quick email to Rino and he arrived the following morning with brand new appliances and a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. That's good service in my book.
A couple of small negatives to point out, the advertised price of the appartment doesn't include the price of the Government City Tax, for our party of 6 adults this worked out at €3.50 per night, so added an unexpected €147 to the final bill. For those English speaking tourists who love their late night television, there were no English speaking channels, but hey this is Rome so there is plenty to do to entertain yourself. Also the wifi in the appartment was very good so easy to steam media to your tablet or laptop if required.
Overall a great appartment, competitive prices, wonderful city and friendly and helpful owners. What more could you want.
