This was our second trip to Rome and our family stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel staff was always very pleasant and accommodating. Becuase there were 9 of us traveling together I was worried about sharing meals together and the front desk staff was more than willing to call ahead and confirm with the restaurant availability.
The rooms were pristine, immaculate. This hotel was one of the few we stayed in that had 'functioning' air conditioning. It was such a welcome relief to return to our room, get cooled off and forage in the small refrigerator for Fanta/Water and snacks. These are complimentary with the room. The bathroom while not spacious, met our needs and was clean and well appointed. The only negative comment I can provide is the towels were a little thin, but as we would learn later on our trip this is common in Italy.
Surprisingly, this hotel is very quiet. It's located on a quiet street, residential in feeling, but only 2 blocks from the Termini. Really convenient to hopping on the metro to anywhere you'd need to go. All of the rooms we had were excellent, both facing the street and facing an interior courtyard. Our group was well pleased with the rooms and the service. Tip - book early as this hotel fills up fast!

We stayed at the Diocleziano for 5 nights in july 2012 for a business + leasure trip and very much enjoyed our stay. The staff is most helpful and friendly, breakfast was perfect (with fresh orange juice, good coffee and anything you can imagine), the fitness room + sauna is great and the location is very convenient as it is close to Termini station. Thank you very much for everything, we would definitely come back!!

Stayed three nights prior to a cruise. Very convenient to the metro and bus or 20-30 minute walk to all the main tourist attractions. Very good full breakfast including not only traditional European selections, but also catering to American tastes. Beds are a little firm for our taste, but we were so worn out by the end of each day it hardly mattered.

It has taken a year to write this review but finally I have gotten around to it. Firstly this is a very clean well equipped Hotel. Walking distance to the main train station and metro. But what I want to really talk about is the staff. We were pick-pocketed in Rome all cash, drivers license and credit cards gone, the only thing we had left were our passports locked up in the hotel safe. We arrived back at the hotel unaware that it happened, only when we getting ready to go out for dinner did we realize we had about 10 Euro's to our name. The staff not only made available the front desk phone to make the many calls to credit card companies and banks that we had to make, but when we were done they sent up Pizza and drinks to our room gratis and they worked with us to figure out a way for us to pay the bill in our situation. All in all if we go back this will be the place.

The hotel's location directly across from the main train, metra and bus station is excellent. We arrived by train from Bologna, walked across the street and were at the Hotel Diocleziano. That simple. The red and blue metra lines and the bus routes also run from the Rome train station making it very easy for us to walk out of our hotel, walk across the street and get anywhere we needed in Rome.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived in the morning, checked-in, stored our bags with the staff and explored the city. When we returned that evening, our bags had been brought up to our room and everything was perfect. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The morning breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. My son said it was his favorite meal in Italy.
The staff gave us helpful directions on navigating the city and were gracious in every way. I highly recommend Hotel Diocleziano and hope to return again.
