“5 stars all the way”
Reviewed 31 July 2012

rooms are large and so elegant. staff is superb and sent a car for us to airport, and made arrangements for all the little details i needed prior to arrival, such as special food and wine requests, etc... late at night we were greeted by porter, receptionist and cold welcome drinks. location is a dream. roof terrace and the views are such a treat. the historic and majestic sculptures and parts of the forum that you can see as a hotel guest within the hotel lobby are just unreal. this is a great spots for couples of families visiting rome and wanting to be in the heart of things, while enjoying peace and quite within their hotel.

Great Location, pretty much 80% of the historic attractions of Rome are walking distance from here. Good service especially during breakfast in the morning. But, the bar is rather limited and the cocktails a bit diluted so would recommend BYOB. Still unsure about the 5 star rating or the value for money. We might look to stay somewhere else the next time in Rome, to have a frame of reference.

Room Tip: Request for 402 - top floor with a small garden in the back.

My wife and I stayed here for just one night after a glorious week on one of the Islands. Our flight was the next afternoon and we wanted to visit the dungeons of the Colusium the next morning before returning home. We stayed in the annex and our room was a little small but perfectly acceptable. Where they let themselves down were on small areas of customer service which no 5* establishment should fall foul of but, in their defence, the manager replied promptly to the note I left to him with appologies and an offer of an upgrade next time we visit. We love Rome and will be sure to return soon. This Hotel will certainly be considered. I have read some of the other reviews and noted the anger regarding the power failures and can offer only this advice: Power failures in Rome are not uncommon. Please remeber you are visiting a city founded long before anyone even realised most of the world existed and so infrastructure is not always as you would find in your "new" country of origin. WHilst frustrating, there is very little the staff can do in that situation.

We came here with the entire family in June and booked 3 rooms. They gave us all rooms on the same floor, very comfortable. The free computer in the lobby was very good option and from staff at the desk to other service staff everybody were so nice and helpful. This hotel is ideal for families as well as couples. No need for a car in Rome and from the Inn you can walk everywhere you want to go even to the Vatican. Loved it

I loved this hotel and I am really surprised at some of the recent reviews which are quite different from the experience we had. However we did have the best rooms in the hotel - the Master Garden suite - and I would throughly recommend them if you can stretch the budget that far. They were not cheap but were amazing. Comfortable beds, nice furnishings, good bathrooms. We travelled with 3 teenage children so the 2 adjoining rooms with the exclusive use of the garden was perfect. The afternoon "happy hour" provided a sumptuous spread with prosciutto, cheese, cakes etc and this was lovely especially on the first day when we arrived not having had lunch. Breakfast was also a nice spread and included cooked and continental. Wifi signal was good. NO there is no parking - you really would not want a car in ROme anyway. Not a good choice if you do have a car - it's hidden away up a tiny street and you can't drive to the front door. We took advantage of the hotel's transport and it was a bargain at 35E from the airport for the 4 of us with luggage. This is a small boutique hotel not a 5 star chain and it is quite unique. Don't come here if you are wanting all the facilities of a large hotel. DO come if you want charm and originality. The location was perfect - opposite the Roman Forum and 5 mins from the Colosseum. If you like walking it is perfectly possible to walk to most places from here - we walked home after dinner at the Campo die Fiori. But taxis are very cheap and plentiful anyway.
We found the front desk service to be efficient, helpful, proactive and very friendly.
The only disadvantage of this location is that is not close to restaurants, bars etc. If I came again I would probably pick Trastevere to stay in because of the atmosphere at night - especially now that I know how cheap it is to get around by taxi (if a little terrifying at times!)

Thanks for your very kind words. Delighted you and the family enjoyed your visit and our staff.

Our neighborhood (Monti) pride itself of being the latest trend in Rome and not yet discovered by all the crowed of tourist. I wished we could have suggest some trendy restaurants as the neighborhood is full of them.

Again thank you for your lovely review and I hope to welcome you and you family back to our structure.

Best regards
