Such a lovely and clean hotel, with a big spacious room with a fridge and air conditioning. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was lovely. We were lucky enough to get a room at the front with a balcony. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who was visiting Rome. We were able to walk to all of the popular visiting spots in Rome from the hotel. The vatican is probably the furthest walk, but still not too far. Easy access to public transport if needed. A supermarket is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel, which is handy to stock up the fridge with cold drinks to drink on the balcony. I can't wait to come back again! So far the best holiday I have ever been on!

We recently stayed here on our honeymoon - Camelia proved to be a charming hotel. Lovely room; spotlessly clean & well-appointed. Very good breakfast, with lovely staff. The desk staff were also fantastic: very good recommendations for gelato!
A lovely hotel - would certainly return!

My second time staying at this hotel. I chose it because it has great Wi-Fi, its near the Termini station and major bus stops and trains. Breakfast is continental, I remember it used to be better though, but it's ok. Staff very friendly. I do recommend it.

When revisiting Rome, hotel Camelia was my fist option. It was the helpful reception I remembered, which still didn't let me down this time, no matter what we had to face ( the first room we were given was packed with 'devices' needed to undergo repair works, lying all over the floor; the second room had a constant flow of freezing air conditioning which drove me crazy). The reception made all necessary efforts to make us comfortable and solved whatever issues we had with the rooms! Thank God for that!
Breakfast, however, is a sad issue. Although the staff is very polite and helpful, the diversity and quality of breakfast products is scarce and ought to be improved.

Dear Madame,

Thank you for your review.

Unfortunately, by mistake, you were assigned to a room that was under maintenance. The second room had no issues, but we understand that not all of our guests like air conditioning (which can be regulated), so the staff member showed you to a third room, which had your approval.

Breakfast was recently improved with an international selection, even though it is still considered a continental buffet breakfast.

Best regards,
Giuseppe

Hotel was strictly ok. It was near the station but was at quite a distance from all the major attraction in rome. Hotel has no smoking room neither they allow to eat in your room. Not recommended for long stays.

Room Tip: Ask for bigger rooms. Out of 5 we had only 1 big room

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your stay.

Hotel Camelia is a 5 minute walk from 3 metro stops, Repubblica, Castro Pretorio and Termini, which is also the main commute hub of the city and the major train station. We are also a 5 minute walk away from Porta Pia and Repubblica square and a 10 minute walk away from Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, Barberini square and Via Veneto. A 15 minute walk away from most of the other attractions. We are sorry that was not enough for you.

As explained to you when you demanded it at the reception desk, we do not allow hot food inside the room for hygienic reasons. We have a patio open 24 hours with tables where you can enjoy your meals.

All of our rooms and common areas are no smoking. We advertise that on every website in respect of all of our guest that do not like the smell of smoke. I recommend to book one of the very few hotels in Rome that allow smoking in the room next time you come to Rome.

Best regards,
Giuseppe
