“We couldn't get in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2012

We tried to get tickets on the day but it was impossible as they were fully booked 9 days in advance. You can go and queue on the off chance that someone with a pre booked ticket doesn't turn up or buy your ticket online before you go.

“wonderful guide made the difference”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2012

The galleriea is only open for two hours, morning and afternoon. So it is a challenge to get through it all with a feeling of intelligence. The tour guide Rebecca who came supplied through the agency Dark Rome was marvellous. She cleverly took us with excellent description and story through all the rooms showing the highlights and the Bernini. I could not imagine seeing it without her.
Although it was easter week the Galleria was not a zoo. There is a small cafeteria where a much needed coffee was drunk and nice bathrooms. The walk through the park was not so spectacular.

“Great art in a beautiful setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2012

My husband and I definitely enjoyed visiting this museum. The building is a work of art unto itself and contains some beautiful sculptures and paintings that are not to be missed. You must book your tickets online and pick them up about a half hour before. Be aware you do have to check all bags/purses. I would have left mine in the hotel had I known.

“Great Collection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2012

For my money the sculpture of Apollo and Daphne was worth the price of admission. This Bernini is absolutely amazing. It is one of the most magnificent I have ever seen. I thought it even better than the David in Florence or other Michelangelo works.

Best to make a reservation by phone without any financial obligation till you show up to buy your tickets.
