“Good hotel; great location; great staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

We stayed at Fortyseven Hotel for 4 nights. The location is very good, with most everything we wanted to see in Rome within walking distance (not short walks, but safe and manageable).
The rooms were clean and spacious, and we were able to get a guarantee on interconnecting rooms a week before we arrived. (They didn't connect in the usual way, but were 2 separate rooms sharing a short hallway that had a door that you could close off from the main hallway). The beds are comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is good. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. My only picky point is that the temperature control in both of the rooms that we had didn't work properly. We asked about it, but it was not fixed in the time that we were there. Also, we were on the 3rd floor, and I think that the 1st and 2nd floors probably get a lot of traffic noise at night. Still, we would stay there again and gladly recommend it.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter. If you need interconnecting rooms, be sure to ask specifically since they...

Rome was our final stop in a week long tour of Italy. The hotel, while small, is centrally located to the major sites of the Palantine, Roman Forum, and the Colesseum. The breakfast buffet was a great start to every day.

Claudia greeted us and made the difference between a great stay and an excellent one. She highlighted major walks on a map, made several restaurant recommendations, including booking us reservations.

The rooms were nice, spacious, and quiet. My only complaint would be the small size of the TVs and lack of free Wi-Fi in the rooms but would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Ancient Rome!

Room Tip: Stay above the first floor & ask for a room facing the river.

My family of 4 (2 teenagers) just spent 3 nights at the 47. I cannot imagine a better location in the city to stay, as it seemed that nearly everything was within about a 20 minute walk in any direction. The hotel is very modern, (even a newer fitness room), the food and service was outstanding. The rooftop restaurant/bar had great views and very good food. I will stay there again whenever I go to Rome.

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. Its location is fabulous, close to most of the sites we wanted to see, we did them all on foot. The only exception was the Vatican, but there is a direct city bus that goes there and which stops right outside the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly, they even had bus tickets for the buses. The room was large enough; we were facing the main street but noise was not a problem. There is a roof level restaurant where the food was excellent. I have only nice things to say about our stay.

We stayed six nights at the Fortyseven Hotel - at the end of the trip my fiancee and I both agreed that we will stay here again next time in Rome.

The rooms are modern and spacious. We got a room on the fourth floor and did not have any problems with street noise.

The location of the hotel is great - we basically walked everywhere (Ancient Rome, Pantheon, Villa Borghese, Trastevere, Testaccio, etc) except for the Vatican due to rain.

The staff were very helpful - even before our arrival they arranged our car transfer from the airport and made us reservations for Easter lunch. Throughout the week they also assisted with reservations and also delivered a special dessert to our room for my birthday!

Overall a great stay - we will be back!
