Good value for the money with all the historic sites and some good restaurants in walking distance. Clean but we'll used. A bit noisy outside at times just close the windows and turn on the a/c. Breakfast is really good and plentiful. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. However, we could not sleep the first night because the room was so hot in mid-August. We were not made aware that we had to collect the remote control for the air-con in reception. Also the breakfast, so-called a 'continental breakfast' was the same everyday and was very plain and tasteless. When we asked the big figured man in reception if the drinks in the fridge in our room was for us and whether it was free, he said exactly that it was 'pre-paid'. However when we left the hotel we had to pay a Rome City Hotel tax of €30, and an additional €42 for the drinks! We told him that he had told us that it was 'pre-paid' but he started to raise his voice saying that he did not say that, so please be careful and confirm what they mean because they do not speak proper English and then raise their voices at their customer. Very poor customer service skills!!!!!!! Only the location was perfect, and within walkable distance to all the touristic attractions! Also be very careful if you get approached by people dressed in Gladiator clothes asking if you would like a photo because they will rip you off. Be careful in the train station because people in plain dressed clothes will approach those who do not understand Italian and pretend to help them buy their tickets from the ticket machine and ask for money. It is very easy to buy a ticket on the ticket machines and you can change the language to English, so don't be fooled!

The main good point of staying here is the location on Via Nazionale, which provides easy access to all sites in Rome. If your room is on the same side as the road, expect traffic noise throughout the entire night. The breakfast is very basic but ok as included within the room rate.

When we arrived at the hotel, reception is on the 3rd floor however some rooms are on the first floor, as in our case. This meant that every time we left the hotel to go out, we had to go up 2 floors to leave the room key and again to collect it on return- not sure why this is necessary and found it an annoying inconvenience! The room had no safe to store valuables.

The hotel elevator is the size of a shoe box and when we were using it the doors opened to expose breeze locks not a floor. When we finally got out and told the hotel staff, they did not even check this to prevent it happening to other guests! Another odd feature was that the doors to each floor were locked when you left so you could only access the third floor reception via the elevator and if this was not working you could be locked out of the room and hotel?!
On check out the older member of staff was very unhelpful and rude. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying with children. If you are going to stay here, be prepared for very basic facilities and odd requirements!
Rome is a beautiful city though and thankfully we did not need to spend much time in the hotel at all.

Hotel was in a great location for exploring Rome, the room was clean and air conditioned with its own bathroom. Once arriving at the hotel we were informed that we then had to walk to another hotel as our room could not be used, this was not explained prior to our arrival and the receptionist was not apologetic and did not seem to understand that this was an unacceptable inconvenience. However, the hotel we were relocated to for one night was lovely (Hotel Italia) Hotel Fiori did not arrange a transfer for us to this new hotel we were given vague directions to walk there, we also had to check out early the following morning and go back to the original hotel.

This hotel is basic, but spotless and the staff are lovely I booked a double and a single the double was spacious and basic but it had tv, safe, fridge and air conditioning the single room I would not recommend it is the second or third room to the left of the breakfast bar I can't remember the number but it was dismal my friend didn't mind cos we were out all day everyday and it doesn't have a very good phone signal and the view was of the back yard. The rooms were cleaned everyday. There is no bath, just shower but that didn't bother us.
The breakfast is lovely The location is brilliant you can walk to most of the major attractions. This was my second time staying here and I would definately stay at this hotel again.
