“Nice little hotel”
Reviewed 17 July 2012

We found this hotel after walking out of the apartment nearby and were very pleased. The owners and the staff are super nice and helpful. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable - it had everything that we needed. Breakfast was nice too with really good coffee. Location was perfect, near the sights, but away from the queues. I would stay again in this hotel.

Stayed here early in July 2012. You are right by the Vatican Museum and a five minute walk from St. Peter's Square. The staff, particularly Dounia and Barbara, were exceptionally helpful with everything from recommendations to directions to extra towels. Breakfast was great, make sure you wake up and grab some before heading out. The room was nice, and the bathroom and shower exceeded expectations. We managed to walk from the hotel to nearly every meaningful landmark in Rome without issue, and there are also nearby metro stations to make transportation even easier. There are two sister Hotel Alimandi properties right next to each other, and I would recommend staying in either of them.

Hotel was very accommodating to our trip to Rome. Paolo and his staff did a great job to make us feel at home. Location was ideal for sight seeing and getting to local metro and busses. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. Rooms were spacious for European hotels. Would recommend this hotel and their sister property, Vaticario.

We stayed here in early June 2012. It is a short walk to the Vatican and free street parking is available right across the street (if your timing is good.) The manager and his niece at the front desk were very helpful with respect to how to get to the two entries to the Vatican and what time to go to avoid the crowds. They also made us a reservation at a wonderful restaurant a short walk away where the food was local, not touristy, and very good. Rooms at the hotel were large and the baths were clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable as well. One highlight is the breakfast on the roof where you are greeted and served by the chef....a local with personality plus! Food was good and service was better.

My family and I stayed here in May. The hotel staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful in providing directions, places to eat and getting a private car to the airport. The location is perfect just a block away from the Vatican Museum and a few minutes walk to the metro. Breakfast was delicious! We debated on whether to stay in Vatican City and are very happy we did as nothing is far. We walked to the Spanish Steps and the metro was easy to use to get to the Colloseum, etc.
