This apartment is walking distance to so many historic sites. Everything you need is in the apartment. Agnese is full of helpful information. Clean, comfy. We were very happy. Thank you.
From 6 months before our arrival in October, up to her welcoming us, Agnese was the best hostess you can ask for. Being our first time going to Rome, we had a lot of questions and we never hesitated in sending her a message because she was always so attentive in replying, she even suggested that we could reserve a taxi to pick us up from the airport and take us to the rental property, which she took care of for us and that helped to start our trip smoothly.
Once at the property she took her time giving us a tour of the house, explaining how everything worked, where to dispose of the trash, where to find the best "local" food (why eat like a tourist if you can eat like a local), to even bringing us some pastries the next day, which we devour with no problem.
The house was very spacious and comfortable with lots of natural light and gorgeous windows that let fresh air and sometimes great Italian food aromas in the house. The bedroom was spacious with large closets, the bed was very comfortable with one large mattress versus 2 twin mattresses put together like most rental properties and the pillows were the best. The bathrooms were big enough and equipped with some toiletries and most importantly - toilet paper!
We did not get a chance to use the kitchen but I can comment that it was very clean and cozy. The living room had a comfortable couch that was perfect to sink in after a long day of walking on all the cobblestones. I highly recommend opening the windows, and take a moment to take in the Italian air and listening to the few people walking by. I say "few people" because the house is situated in a very quite zone which is surprising since once you walked down Via della Panetteria you find yourself where all the hustle and bustle is.
You could not ask for a better place to be, everything is close by. You have the Trevi Fountain minutes away, which thanks to Agnese we were able to enjoy at sunrise when there was not a lot of people and take awesome pictures. Also, if one of your "must do's" in Italy is eat gelato, then you need to go to Il Gelato di San Crispino, suggested by Agnese, it's down Via della Panetteria, you will not be sorry and will definitely get to try what "real" gelato is.
I can share from my experience that Agnese's welcoming us the way she did made our Rome trip a memorable one and with a desire to go back very soon!!!
The Old Bakery is just a few minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain and an easy walk to everything else we wanted to see in Rome.
Agnese was friendly and helpful with all our enquiries.
This apartment is 2 minutes walk from Trevi, and safely guarded 24 hrs a day by a police guard as it is at the back entrance to a government building. Great location. Only has a small AC unit in the bedroom, so its warm in the summer, but the host was fantastic, driving in on a Sunday to bring extra fans, assist with taxi reservations, providing recommendations etc.
The place is with big room, looks like an apartment. Also great facilities. Very quiet place, loved our stay there. It is a shame we only stayed for one night.
